Honestly, it's getting there if songs like love me jeje could make it. Few years ago, a song won Grammy and when I checked it out, it was only instrumental...the artiste didn't utter a word in the 2min track

I may be bad at Music, but what are the specific criteria used to decide what is the best African Music by this American/European organisation?

Why is it described as the greatest Music award when the criteria are American/English/Euro-centric?

I love music, yes, and appreciate the acknowledgement that African Music is beginning to get in the global space, but I am not sure we come to the table as equals, if we aren't speaking English on the music or producing music in a language largely understood by the West, we may not get a look-in for a Grammy.

you have to be initiated simple no criteria. It is a paid award. They choose their choice based on preference not who deserves it

from my own assessment based on artists with vocals have listened to in the past Mary J Blige Mariah Carey Tiwa savage Brandy Lauryn hill Celine Dion Taylor swift Whitney houston Diana rose Shania twain ... Even though she is leaning towards american style that is why I mentioned those ones. Tems is an average singer she is not world class. They can give it her most of the singers we have now are utter garbage

Kizz Daniel win Grammy with is low quality music. His music has relatively low frequency that is why once listened after 3 weeks song sounds like trash. His music only appeals kids in secondary school and university. As for seyi vibez that one make I keep quiet

Why put tiwa savage in that category, tiwa with no Grammy nomination is world class? Do you just vibe to music or you look deep into music, have you listened to burning. If it where to just be by your standards, Chris brown could have collected 100 Grammy, because is songs are always nice.
The academy has its standard, going by your own standard too, will Smith could have won 100 oscars
