I hope your message reaches many people. Most individuals are not well-informed about this situation, and given the current times, many are focused on survival. Suggesting that someone struggling to find food should invest in HMOs is a misplaced priority; they will tell you that hunger is their greatest concern.
They can't afford 2k monthly, but can afford medical bills of 100k if the child falls ill.
HMO is not a luxury it is a necessity

People are parking their car's

People can't build houses again

People find it hard to eat even one meal a day

People are now trekking because they can't afford transportation

What HMO would you recommend for a family person who previously used an HMO under a company’s umbrella but has stopped working?

What he means by club and social activities does not mean night-club or immoral disco parties. He mean all this church activities, marriage attendance, programs or end of the year parties. It can include social societies/clubs you belong to in the church or your street(residence).

I don't understand this ratio.

83% of my income on food, 48% of same income on transportation, 38% of still same income on Bills and Utilities, yet again clothing is taking 35% of same income and the rest.

Shouldn't the total percentage be 100? I'm not understanding this analysis.
I thought so to. Someone just sat down and cook up numbers.

So going by your analysis of how "The average Nigerians" live their lives, not having a smartphone. Does the average Nigerian go to clubbing ?
That's why I said that is his own top 10. I did not disagree with him, I'm only saying everybody's top 10 will be different and that he should feel free to write his out.

IfnobeGod20:
With the records you should have known that the stat is an independent analysis and not a mutually exclusive stat.
Percentages, ratios and fractions are records of mutually exclusive events. Occurrence of one implies non occurence of the other. You can't toss an unbiased coin once and get head & tail at the same time.

Similarly, you can't spend 100% of your total earning on one thing and still spend another 80% of that same earning on another. 100% expenditure on one excludes 0.00000000001% expenditure on another.

Additionally, nowhere in the narrative was this implied. If the statistics is an independent analysis, it should be presented as such. Alternatively, average of all the samples or records can be taken and expressed as percentage.

Food comes first, transportation and Internet comes after for an average Nigerian.

Things are so tough that even runs girls decry the current economic situation.
Hardship humorously highlights how financial strain can unintentionally promote marital fidelity. grin grin Because resources are limited, people are now forced to prioritize essentials, making "extravagant" pursuits like maintaining affairs seem impractical and even unaffordable. With rising costs, couples have refocused on building stability together, sharing the load, and aligning priorities to handle life's challenges, which has deepened their commitment. Economic hardship now acts as an unexpected fidelity booster, as their focus now shifts towards shared responsibilities and a more grounded lifestyle.

It is simply too costly to cheat. A serial cheat who maintained multiple women has forcefully reduced the numbers. Infidelity budget is sacrificed or reduced to accommodate his family living expense.

Tinubu do this one for Nigerian women and should be counted as one of this administrations achievements.

10. Clubs and Social Activities – 8%
Despite financial struggles, Nigerians still enjoy social gatherings. People spend about 8% of their income on clubs and social activities.

MoD, you omitted the 'Side-chick' sector....

Both male and female....hotels, outings, gifts, thanks for coming, trip to dubai, iPhone 22, bone straight hair, house rent, monthly allowance.....

That one go chop 10% of income. Side chicks bring happiness and there is a 'cost of happiness ' ....10% is reasonable 😁😁😁

The sad reality about the issue of hardship is complete silence of Tinubu. I know he will find his voice when another election is drawing nearer. How can one man put the whole country in extreme pains. Cost of living is getting higher everyday and nobody knows what to expect tomorrow.
House rent tripled... the man is very wicked. Ogun kpai any T-Pain giving me pains
