I have tried to fill another one but it keeps saying I'm no longer eligible to stay in the pool. I really don't know what that means.

If you don't have the previous profile number you don't have it....... fill in a new EE profile and move on.

Good Morning everyone,
Just a quick question:
Are physical cash deposits into account OK to be used as gift deed in POF or does it have to be electronic transfer? My old man wll be doing a transfer from his domiciliary account to mine, however, the bank charges for electronic transfers are quite high and can take significant amount of money. On the other hand, it is cheaper to withdraw the cash $$ and then phsically deposit into my dom account which we plan to do.

Are there people who have succeeded with this method of physical cash deposit because all the guides I have seen concerning documentation for gift deeds is just showing receipt of the funds through electronic transfer. Any help or advice from the experienced folks here will be much appreciated.

They're people that worked and were paid in cash. They deposited the money in their account and provided proof in their reference letter — with Letter of Explanation (LOE) as well.
If it's coming from your father then it's a gift deed. Deposit and show proof.

I appreciate your response. That means bank statement showing dollar cash deposit alongside the gift deed should work as proof.

Hi guys, please i got robbed and my phone was stolen, had to reinstall an authenticator app on the new device. Unfortunately, i didn't save the recovery codes that i was given after creating the GC key account and can't seem to get into my account currently. Has anyone ever experienced this or does anyone have any advise that might help? Thank you!
Sorry...looks like you'll need to set-up a new GC Key account - save your recovery codes this time...... in multiple places

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/two-factor-authentication.html#codes

You don’t have recovery codes
*Sign up for a new GCKey username and password.
*Create a new account in the IRCC secure account.
*Follow the prompts to set up two-factor authentication again.
*Save your new recovery codes somewhere safe. Your old codes will no longer work.

Please study page 1 post 2 for the FSW eligibility score calculation (you need 67 and above).

The post also has possible things to look out for when you get an ineligible message. Goodluck!

Hello friend, so for people that are married, when u declare the status pre ita and say wife not accompanying, the score wont change right?
Then after ita, you change wife status to accompanying. Thats the right way to go about it right? Or how exactly can already married add the wife without score changing

Changes to family composition
All family members must be examined as part of the e-APR, whether they are accompanying the principal applicant or not. Family members can be added to the application at any time during the process, including after the visa is issued, but prior to obtaining permanent resident status. Applicants are instructed to inform IRCC immediately if their family composition has changed (e.g., birth of a child, marriage, divorce).

Personally, I think they mean a fresh (new) spouse (I could be wrong), HOWEVER, some people claim they have been successful in adding a previously unaccompanying spouse AFTER PPR i.e. converted the person from unaccompanying to accompanying.

Include your father's bank account statement in order to show proof that he withdrew the money from his account.

Yes. My brother deposited cash, $$ and I used a gift deed (adjusted the sample one here to cash deposit not transfer) and attached the deposit slip, my brother’s ID, my bank statement and bank reference letter. That was all

People of maple wood
I suspect this questions must have been previously answered, but I will like to ask again.

I have a lump sum of about 40% of my PoF deposited in my account

However this deposit was from a result of selling a percentage of my business

I have the sales agreement and cac documents too back this up,

However the depositors name is not the same as the buyers name in the sales agreement,

And I’m scared because I don’t Have any document to connect the depositor to the buyer as he said he was going to ask his assistance to make the deposit..

I wouldn’t Have Known if not that I was cross checking all my document

Note: name is only visible in SOA,
Can I just request Reference letter and put a LOE for the large funds that reflected September?

PPR and LANDING GIST

Timeline
AOR: 4th August 2023
BIL/MEP: 25th August 2023
Biometrics done/updated: 29th August 2023
ADR1 – Wife's passport
ADR2 – Schedule A for wife
ADR3 – Schedule A for me
PPR: 12th October 2023

The Decision to Travel:

I first heard about Express Entry in 2015 but didn't pay close attention to it at the time. Many of my close friends eventually moved through this program. However by end of September 2020, when EndSars protest was beginning to gain momentum, we knew we had to leave the country.

- 1st October 2020: Applied for WES ECA for my MSc.
- 28th October 2020: Received ECA results.
- 31st October 2020: Took my first IELTS (LRWS/8,8.5,6.5,7). I applied for a remark on my Writing, and it was adjusted to 8,8.5,7,7, with an overall score of 7.5.
- January 2021: Wife (@Phabulous93) took her first IELTS (LRWS/9,8.5,8,7.5), scoring 8.5. wife’s ECA was by CES, and her LLB was evaluated as a Professional degree. This took about 6 months.
- My wife's CRS score was 484, and mine was 455, so she stood a better chance.
- October 2022: I wrote my second IELTS with an overall score of 8.0.
- December 2022: My wife took her second IELTS, scoring an overall 8.5.

HEARTBREAK

- We remained at a CRS score of 484 for almost 2 years, and on my wife’s birthday in March 2023, IRCC decided to draw 484. Unfortunately, she lost 5 points on her birthday and she wasn't selected.
- My wife was heartbroken, but as I consoled her, our son walked in and started singing Nathaniel Bassey's song, "You are God from beginning to the end, There's no place for argument, You are God all by yourself...".

TEF in 4 months!

- In January 2023, my wife started practicing with Doulingo, just in case we needed French
- After loosing 5 points and missing out on the ITA in March 2023, she made the courageous decision to learn French formally and dedicated herself to studying day and night. At a point, she had like 2 French tutors.
- Mind you, she was still working full time. We practiced speaking French together, and I even downloaded various French translators so I could practice speacking with her.
- I gingered her to write the TEF exam in June (3 months after she lost 5 points), but she was like, the average time to learn French and pass the TEF is between 9 – 12 months.
- And I was like, I know. Just see the TEF in June as a mock exam so you get familiar with how the exam is…
- So we registered for it and she wrote the French exam on 15th June 2023, and the results came out on 20th June 2023, less than 1 week later, and we received an extra 10 points.
- Sharperly, I updated our profile, and the score jumped from 479 to 489.
- One week later, we received an ITA (cutoff was 486).

Ah! Baba God o! Thank you.

eAPR
- In putting together our application, we ensured that it was thorough and included a letter of explanation for pretty much everything.
- Our Proof of Funds (POF) was 100% ready since October 2023. However, due to the Naira devaluation in June 2023 (all thanks to Tinubu and the CBN), we had to get a Gift deed to complete our POF.
- We also included 25% of my Pension as a buffer in case the Naira depreciated further.

Additional Document Requests:

- ADR 2 & ADR 3 (Schedule A IMM 5669): I'm not sure why they requested these, but I suppose it's because my wife worked with a Local Government during her NYSC, and the word "Government" might trigger additional scrutiny.
- My wife and I are both Directors and Shareholders of several small companies. We had to provide a separate letter of explanation, clarifying that these companies were part-time and did not interfere with our full-time jobs.

LANDING

- Booked Egyptair and landed Toronto 7am last week. Before 9:00am, the I heard those beautiful words, "Congratulations! And welcome to Canada!"
- We were heading to Calgary, and had a 9 hour layover in Toronto. So we used the time to sort out our SIN, Sim cards (Fido offered us a $35, 50GB plan) and our bank account (CIBC).

Finally guys, if you can, please learn French o! It's not easy but if you can, abeg write it. If we didn't write French, we will still be at 479, hoping and praying that the cut off points drop. But here we are, living in the beautiful city of Calgary as Permanent Residents.

Ah! Baba God! Na you do this one o! Thank you Jesus!
Merci beaucoup wifey @Phabulous93, Que Dieu vous bénisse. Amen

Thanks also to @GraciousWords, ednut1, Ebuncrown, MissMa01, Debbieeeeeee for your insights.

Finally got my desired TCF scores a day after I submitted my OINP application. That was my happiest day everrr, ITA and PPR didn’t even make me as happy as May 6th 2024 when I got my results. Can you ask him to get an affidavit? Also include a letter of explanation.

Secondly, in your EE profile, are you claiming self employed? Or is it a side hustle?

Thanks @phabulous I Will discuss with him to get an affidavit

I have my full time job, the business is on its Own, so I added the business under personal details as I don’t intend to get points from the business.

The thought of getting clients references for the business is overwhelming….

I hope that makes sense?

Or I should just use Kenya?

That makes sense!

What type of business is it? Does it need your full attention, or do you have people managing it for you? Or do you run it after work hours? If you’re working a full-time job (9-5) and the business also needs your time, you might need to show the visa officer that… you know na.

What’s the best way to apply for a fresh passport or renew an expired passport in Nigeria? I’ve got a guy who works with Immigration. He’s pretty good but with the new passport system, can I just apply online, or should I ask him to help facilitate the process?

I heard a story about someone who applied online for a passport, and when he didn’t get a date for his capture, he went in and was told, “Online will let you know when it’s time for capture.” Lol.
