OK, hv gootten tru to them, seems the vpn settings on my network was ,essing with the chat page. from my chat with them, i can deduce, they are likely overwhelmed with tickets, and contacting them hastens their response to your ticket

There should be cancel pending appointment request in your amentum profile , if there is then click it and cancel, all of the information you filled would be gone then you start all over.

If you are applying for F1 visa you have to sign your I 20 form before you upload. You must also have filled and submitted your ds 160 form before you start the appointment request.

As a retiree, the consular will fear that she might want to go and retire finally to America so you need to create ties or activities for her in Nigeria .

Eg, her husband, children and grand children, she is an active elder in the church or mosque, she just opened a big hypermarket and she is the acting CEO. She is the secretary of her employer retirees pension payment department, etc.

The last part is, she should be able to communicate her activities with the consular . Some of her ties should be well indicated in the form ds 160. She may not have time to talk much so ds 160 will say the rest.

All you need to do is fill a new ds form 160 with your current information, eg conference date, travel date , accomodation etc and upon successful submission, take both old and new ds form 160 to your visa interview. If you want to reschedule, make sure you finished rescheduling before filling a new ds 160 so that the information in the new ds 160 will entail your most current info.

The edit or update option is not yet available on the new avits portal and i don't think it is going to be available again.

Login to your registered email. Then go to avits and click forgot password, it will ask for your email. After waiting a while and the reset link is not sent into your email keep repeating same procedure withing 10 minutes interval, the link will eventually drop, some time with many reset links at a go, just click on one and that's all.

They can’t be different.Pick dates that’s match .Before you could just use your ois appointment date ,but now ois seems to want ppl to come on the dates they picked on avits.

Your mum probably missed her initial post 221g appointment hence she was turned back or she did not follow the demand of the 221g slip accordingly.

If your mum had performed all her scheduling activities through the old portal , she should have requested for profile migration into the new avits portal by creating ticket, and waiting for migration email.

If she had performed all her scheduling activities on the new portal , all she have to do is wait till the dashboard displays Create New Appointment.

As it stands, you have created an illegal profile for her in order to make another quick appointment hence the current display of : Duplicate Profile.

Open a ticket or call the embassy so that they will help you to delete one of the profiles.

She had already applied and was denied..where she tried explaining...

Even though one cud be stamped in for 6months, staying over 3months is a red flag...and wud need some explanation to convince the vo, she stayed about 16months total...
Covid started march 2020, her 6months visa entry stamp ended jan 2020.so she cant use covid as excuse, as she came home October 2020.
Even in the midst of COVID, people still came home via the us and naija govt ethiopian airlines covid evacuation flights....so her overstay is indefensible.
She can however pray and hope on luck..and continue reapplying...she gat nothing to loose, but her visa fee


To be honest, her explanation is very weak....the US is firm on over stayers...3yrs standard ban, 10yrs ban for misrepresentation...
