omotola90:If they want to show seriously they need to be beating at least some of this teams. Drawing Liverpool and beating man utd would have been a better result for me. They should just make Top 4 and I am good. January get a top striker and GK. Next season we compete for the league when estaveo comes. I no wan see noni for that line up, at best he comes as substitute. |

1. It may seem convenient that I'm saying this now, but I'll be honest; i had little expectations about beating our top six rivals in the first half of the season. I predicted one win, two draws and two losses as the likeliest outcome, followed by 0W, 2D, 3L or 0W, 3D, 2L. One of these three is certain with Spurs left to play. Another small positive is that as inspiring as our performances have been for the most part against these guys, we haven't been outplayed or disgraced. Just let down mostly by mistakes at the back and/or profligacy in front. I'd be more concerned if we don't get at least a couple of wins in the second half of the campaign. |

2. I'm not at all concerned by Palmer's average performances against them this far this season. It's not like it has always been a problem - he performed very well against the likes of Yoonited, City and Spurs last season. I expect more productivity from him and the second half, by which time the team should've experienced tangible improvement. 3. If you had offered me third place after 11 games (with 4/5 of our rivals having been played), I would've snatched your hand along with it. Especially with the preseason we had. Granted there are plenty question marks, but it has been a very good start to the season all in all. |

One thing that irked me today Even after Mudryk came on, every time a break opportunity came up on the left it was Palmer who was the widest player Omo this Left Half Space experiment has to end, abeg It has to. Even if you want to play a 10 who attacks the LHS, use Joao Félix. |

| Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by omotola90(m): 7:57pm On Nov 10, 2024 |
lajid:Esteavo is better than Noni. As for the big teams we played against, I would say the team is going in the right direction. we played against mancity and Liverpool and dominated...It's step by step..the positionvon the log, the fighting spirit is a confidence booster |

BlueMann:I think I have been the most vocal when it comes to these matters. No one would have staked money on Chelsea being 3rd at any point in this season, let alone after 11 games. In fact, we had people in absolute fear, saying, in ffact, very convinced we should have stuck with Poch as Manager and that we had made a managerial error. We are 3rd on the table, only 9 points away from the 1st, never been outplayed all season. If I see anyone mention Maresca and sack on this board, it will become personal. ![]() |

BlueMann:You just nail it, our defence fail us when we need them most, unforgivable defence lapses gave Liverpool 3 points, we deserve at least a point in that match. |

The cowardice of Maresca strikes again you drop your most creative midfielder against an Arsenal side lacking in confidence and form only to put him on while you're chasing the game, he's fortunate that Arsenal were not interested in playing football otherwise the scoreline would've been humbling. |

timbros:I thought you and Lordfalcao swore that Chelsea wouldn't stop conceding 2 or more goals, what happened? Even the Bournemouth that beat both Man city and Arsenal with 2 goals scored, couldn't score 1 against us. What happened? |
| Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by dostr4(m): 8:47pm On Nov 10, 2024 |
I'll give Maresca the full season before judging him, but so far his team is moving on the right direction. Against the Big teams, his approach has been poor..go hard or go home but no..He plays it safe..Arsenal like united last week was there for the taking,.. Lavia was lost, gusto isn't defensively sound albeit bad at 1v1, palmer in the left half space?? ( making it easier for partey). Hoping he gets his act right in the second half of the season. |

Capaldi:We thought we had moved on from the reggae man of CHO, but now we have Madueke, who is just as inconsistent as him, Meanwhile, Odoi is like Android KitKat while Madueke is like Lollipop, flashy but flawed with selfishness. Unfortunately, both players are Championship-level at best. |

lordfalcao:You blamed Gusto, a defender, for missing from close range but a striker must be defended when he misses. You be werey. |

Amoto94:If Arsenal actually decided to play, they will lose. That was why they played deep and safe. Chelsea is very dangerous when you open up. |
| Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by airmark(m): 9:06pm On Nov 10, 2024 |
Unlimited22:Oh, I even thought he is a midfielder as he is not benching Cucurella as expected. 14m, I thought some wanted us to spend big on LB last summer. |

Caicedobets:Jackson is still better. I don't know the usefulness of madueke aside from cutting to the left |
