I have never applied for any visas before, I don't even know how the application process goes.

Can anything be done to at least reduce the burden on applicants? Even if it means to do so with a clause.

Don't go too far. I also know people directly who were also a first timer and got US visa.

I've been asking questions a lot,and seeing all this denial stories now ahhh, I've never done anything like this before I mean traveling out and all tho I would love to if.. God is saying yes to this.

Nevertheless, the rate of denials is alarming. I had one of my boys denied a student visa in spite of him receiving a full tuition scholarship for a masters degree.

It will be worse in the coming years and application fees is good revenue for them...due to the desperation of many to leave.

Our leaders really did us bad with their gross mismanagement of the country.

Try going to other countries and returning within 3 weeks, if you try US first, there's zero chance they will allow you except he is your spouse or family relation, talking from experience.

The way we talk baffles me atimes as if you've known or seen all....

What kind of foolish talk is this? Why did she lie that she spent millions to apply for US visa?
Last time I checked, US visa application in $185 (320K). How is that enough to buy a car.
The visa officer likely saw through her bogus application and denied her.
Most times, you don't even need your bank statement for US visa application. Besides, the money in your bank account is still yours after the application and interview is over. So where and when did she loose millions? LIAR!!
These types of Nigerians deserve the country they have.

10 years ago, I applied as a student for Master, during the interview, I was ask if I knew anyone i USA. I was honest, i told them, a friend we study together (semi europe country), apply and got visa, so I applied to the same school, why answering the question, my confidence is so low. Got rejected.

Fast forward, 10 years after I applied as visiting, sponsor by me (in europe), been many country. And with P.R . Interviewer ask only 5 question, they even mention the country I was denied visa 12 years ago, and I never put it in my.application, i was shock, but I answer all question honesty and confidence like I dont care if they give or not, am over qualify base on my status in my home country. But at the end I got my 5 years Visa. No documents ask, I fill it by myself. We are just 7 at the embassy waiting to be interview, as the citizen dont need visa to travel to America.

Instead of you guys going to America, why not do Zigzag route, that america you will still visit one day.

Refund policy is necessary. Nigerians are milked dry by the USA through rejection of visa application.

But Nigerians have to wait. Request for refund policy can be made when a Nigerian government that is going to be credible before the US government officials emerges. Americans are not going to listen to Tinubu administration on this.

And they will say people are living on less than 1 dollar in Nigeria, where did she get the millions to process visa/

These are things idiots here dont know, if you can spend up to up to 20,000 dollars for VISA application then you dont really need a VISA.

Countries are looking for persons that have unique gifts and skills that can contribute positively to their country.

USA visa is $100!

But most Nigerians don’t know that the best way to process traveling is by running it yourself, not through an agent. Yankee embassy knows most Nigerians believe in using an agent rather than running the application themselves..

Visa isn’t hard to process at all. Go to their website and answer all the questions appropriately - them to give you your visa..

Don't mind the illiterates! they don't know T&Cs, before they even apply they have accepted that their visa may be denied.

Major reason for denial is that many cannot prove beyond reasonable doubt that they are coming back to their home country.
Secondly, there are quotas on how many visas they want to give out. They will do everything possible to stay within the quota.

Denying a fully funded applicant is rare. They person definitely did something wrong.
