Good development.
We are appealing to the federal government to remember IBADAN, OYO,OGBOMOSHO TO ILORIN EXPRESS ROAD.
This ROAD project has been on construction since 2006 and not complete till now.
This ROAD is a very great important road that links Lagos, south west to the north of the country.
The situation around this road is very terrible and Nigerians are really suffering on this road.
Minister of works, Engr. Chief David Umahi should please help the people to start the process of turning this road into a safe and easy route to travel on.
God help us

APC governments; propaganda as usual, no tangible achievements or developments, that impacts on the well-being and welfare of the masses.
Very soon 4 years will elapsed and the next propaganda will start again, and the vicious circle of APC governments misrule will continue as usual.

Thats a whole lot!

This is what you get when you have an accountant on the helm of affairs

This was the plan all along. Its unreasonable to say the FG have been paying subsidy and that PBAT has no true plans in mind

This is an attestation report

God Bless Nigeria
There no atom of a plan in what Mr bayo ononuga announced, that they will invest trillions saved from subsidy in infrastructure development projects is Vague, which projects?which region?how much?impact to the masses?investing more funds in our refineries is not a plan from an accountant, they are endless money pots that are best scrapped and junked.
What Nigeria needs is a revolutionary plan like what FDR gave the Americans during the great depression, the new deal pulled america out of economic stagnation, that is what we need, not some childish and petty propaganda announcement

"N5.4 trillion saved" from (fuel) subsidy removal, but exchange rate as at today fell badly to N1717 to a dollar. If we are spending less on fuel importation and subsidy, shouldn't that improve our exchange rate significantly? Lying crooks.

DomPerignon:
That volume of cash is better off being removed from circulation to undo the fiat printing of Emefile.

We have #50 Trillion in cash floating out there with over 70% of that volume printed from thin air by Emefile & Sons Printing Press that was mismanaging our monetary policy in the CBN.

Get rid of that excess cash and see inflation come down fast.
I agree with you. There is far too much money out there.

They've tried raising interest rates and hasn't even dented the situation. However there is also a massive infrastructure deficit.

1. I would start with special courts for land matters and debt claims. ( I -2 day trials)

2. Then mop up the money

3. Then fast track consumer and business credit. Use 1 to give lenders confidence.

Credit will drive productivity and demand.

Hopefully.

But you know even I know this is simplistic.

What's your idea?

you don't understand economics, the results would have been like you said ,if the cause of the inflation in the first instance was due to Emefiele money, but unfortunately it is not so

The harsh reality is Emefile inflating the money supply through unregulated ways and means to the past government.

Too much money in circulation , translates to too much government debt . Too much government debt leads to inflation.

Emefile was hiding this under the regulated FX market . His cash swap policy was meant to mop up the excess naira in circulation.

These are facts.

abibun:
Are you pretending that you don't know that this administration has been printing money as they want?
as

This government is not printing any money. Instead they are struggling to mop it off circulation.

That's the reason for deregulating the FX window through floating of the naira.

The policy to float the naira was to mop up excess naira in circulation.

The reason this isn't working is because of laws that mandate the FG to share every revenue stream with state governors. The governors are the ones responsible for the naira crashing because they are the only ones with excess slush funds from subsidy removal and they are converting their loot to USD and stashing it abroad.

Think for a minute . Who in their right mind will bid for the dollar at such a high rate unless crooks wanting to launder their loot? No business can survive this high FX rate in the midst of growing poverty in Nigeria. Where is the market if you import goods at over #1,800 a dollar ?

The only class of people seeing the dollar crash are the thieving governors.

Let them loot as they want but tell them to stop putting pressure on our currency .

Nigerians act so naive most times... Expected at this stage is the opposition, activists and some NGOs to go about the monitoring of those funds. Raise alarm if they are being mismanaged or diverted... We should come together for the country not being here on social media & other media houses to lay down barrage of undocumented complaints and talking without actions. But since it is thief calling thief a thief... We might remain here for more time to come.

We are still where we are because we have individuals who are converting their new found loot in the form of increased allocations to states as a result of subsidy removal to bid high against the naira.

Governors are the only culprit here and other highly placed government officials who see the FX as a means to store and convert their loot.

As long as governors continue to launder their loot to foriegn accounts, the naira will continue to crash.

Tell your governors to stop looting and if they won't beg them to invest and launder their loot instead in Nigeria.

If there were any savings, it was better they were deployed into achieving ONE THING. No need to spread the resources too thin.

I recommend the government focus solely on fixing power and then withdraw licenses from non-performing DISCOs, especially BEDC.

A national important issue on trillions saved is titled with Atiku's name.

This is petty.

Why should Onanuga take such a lowly road?

Let things of national importance remain national issues, not personal.

Money being mentioned that does not exist. Money that would have been channeled to basic infastrucure nationwide. Ranging from affordable transportation system, adequate security, good health care services and good roads to bring about sustainable development. But nah they would rather channel the money to where we don't know.
