Our leaders have never taken proactive measures to avert avoidable insecurity but instead believe they can stop it after threshold has been reached. In Rivers State a civil war is breeding and everyone is clearly seeing it but FG is claiming ignorance waiting for the first shots to be fired. The inability to win the war in Northeast or the uprise in the Southeast should have been a lesson as to how difficult it will be if Rivers State people take up arms in addition to the already existing problems. A stitch in time saves nine. |

Governor 'DONATUS' Fubara should obey the rule of law and stop operating on illegalities. He can't be running the budget of a state like Rivers with only three Assembly members. Even if the said 27 lawmakers defected to another party and have lost their seats, that part of the constitution is not self executory, he should go to the court with the jurisdiction and prove their defection, let him stop operating on illegalities and be seeking for public sympathy on his illegal spending on the State budget. The law is the law!!! Governor 'DONATUS' Fubara's illegal spending on the State budget: Royal House of Grace - N100 Million Omega Power Ministries - N200 Million Salvation Ministries - N1 Billion. Redeemed Christian Church - N100 Million All these donations are within two weeks, SO WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN FUBARA and WIKE? 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄

Eriokanmi:I'm not insulting you, I just jolted you back to reality, you over rate yourselves and you make too much noise on the Internet, now you're blaming Tinubu after a governor presented a budget to 4 out of 32 House of assembly members? What is Tinubus business if the court has ordered banks and cbn not to release allocation until the governor does the right thing? |

4words:But he still feels Martin Amaehule is not the right speaker and he has exercised his democratic right of Appeal. He has legally filed an Appeal to that judgement. What if he goes ahead to present the budget to the Martin Amaehule assembly and the final court tomorrow rules that Martin Amaehule is not the authentic speaker? Will they cancel the budget again and ask him to goan present it to another speaker? If we are to be fair and the judiciary is not in someone's pocket like has been alleged, the Supreme Court is supposed to make final rulings on all the Rivers cases before execution of anything. |
| Re: Rivers State: Avoiding A Repeat Of The Calamity Of The 1960s - SSRC-4RC by ddippset(m): 12:48pm On Nov 11, 2024 |
The solution to the entire problems in Rivers State is for the Supreme Court to deliver judgement on the status of the 25 lawmakers.. That singular judgement will put everything to rest and everyone will know their fate. Rivers state is in crisis and in any decent society, the judgement should take more than a month or 2 because of the urgency. Why are the Courts foot dragging in this particular case of the 25 lawmakers? |

Thats why its important for everyone to be involved in politics, its a game not a dirty one, cant say its for touts and thugs alone, decent people need to be involved so that you can choose the right people to govern you, all these crises is proof that we have the wrongs ones in power. |

I don`t understand how some people reason in this part of the world. Sim Fubara said he was ambush by the peace resolution he sign which was a clear political resolution to the crisis. Fubara should as a matter of urgency obey all court orders against him. He has denied 27 constituencies representation for over a year now and nobody is talking about it. In a sane society Fubara should be have resign. He should have told us how he makes his money to the point of becoming governor of oil rich rivers state. He is a co thief with Wike and so nobody should claim saint that they are not. Fubara stole our money in connivance with Wike. |

You're very correct here! Wike connived with Fubara to loot Rivers State treasury for eight years, go and see Fubara's house as a civil servant before as a Governor and you will wonder how come. Fubara was given a political solution to the problem by the President and he abandoned it through those that are benefitting from the crisis, saying isn't a constitutional solution. Now the court that has constitutional solution has spoken, present your State budget to the Assembly members or you can't have access the the state account until otherwise. And that is the LAW Fubara is playing SAINT to the public and when he's NOT! emmatex2020: |

Abagworo:As you are agitating for Fubara that's how so rivers people are agitating for Martin Amaehule and his Co legislator. Don't forget, the executive is not greater that the lagislative so Fubara can not lord over rivers state House of assembly. He can not be the judge and executioner in his own case. |

I remember Tinubu resolved this matter and told both party to calm down pls do you losers and cursed obidient let Fubara reason? Hell No, you all went berserk on social media attacking Tinubu for trying to make peace and now you are coming here talking nonsense. There will be NO RESOURCE CONTROL for states, tribes or regions. Nigeria is a Unitary State and will remain so in Perpetuity. You know it! The whole point of winning the Presidency is to control the finances, wealth & resources of Nigeria and channel them to the Presidents tribe. Anyone that disagrees is welcome to get armed and come to the battlefield. Where we as Black Africans will show you the meaning of bestial warfare, red in tooth & claw. Ask Rwanda, Central African Republic, Liberia, Sudan and Congo. Any Nigerian tribe that wants to be chopped up and ground into the dust can go ahead and challenge the Nigerian Armed Forces and they will understand how they happily fight the weak. Good Luck to Nigerians. |

EbinPawaGovt:Obviously, you don't know Yoruba people or possibly you don't understand the politics of the time. How many times have such fracas occurred in Yorubaland since that time? Awolowo was a progressive leader which was evident in his achievements at the time, most people supported him, Akintola on the other hand wanted the spotlight too, with federal backing, he was able to win election which angered Awo supporters that later culminated in political fracas named weti e. Yoruba people always differ in terms of their political affiliations. Despite the fact that Tinubu is a Yoruba man, he lost in some south west states. lot of people supported P obi while few Supported Atiku. Yoruba are politically diverse, Aside politics, Yoruba rarely have differences on any issue. Yoruba killing themselves for 100 years really ? I guess you witnessed such gory killings right?, Where and when in history did that happened? Very pathetic of you to spin such narrative. Anyway, I expect such from an individual with an IQ of less than 60! |

ogugwa1992:Its the law that put the FAAC allocation to Rivers State on hold and it is the law that will decide on its release. Enough of all these talks, Rivers State irrespective of whatever it contributes to the federation is not the first State to have even suffered this but it's good that it came through thr FHC unlike that which happened which was done by POBJ and Lagos was able to meet the demands of the civil servants that period. When people call Wike's name in all of these I just keep smiling cause i really don't play into deceitful political sentiments. There are those of us who warned that this Wike who was fighting for the so called interest of South South when he fought against Amaechi and many applauded him as a lion will someday fight back and now it has happened and everyone is saying otherwise. Let it all play out the way it is till the outcome of the courts justify it all. A governor who refuses to stick to an agreement with his predecessor and boss, who turned his back on the peace pact agreement given him by PBAT which he attended to is now behind the scenes frying foul........!!!! Let's all not forget when the RSHC was used to bring down enemies of Wike in Rivers State and any political party that was not on his side, all Rivers people were singing praises but refused to see the uncountable injustice done. Today many have turned saints. PBAT is not a novice. |
