Now that's a true replica of a correctional centre, not the one in Nigeria, where pickpockets would get discharged as certified kidnappers and homosexuals...

From the look of things, even the officers are well taken care of. You can see it on their faces, unlike in Nigeria where prisoners dey contribute transport give officers to go back home after closing from work.

Yet crime rate in Norway is very low.

You can imagine the irony, the Nigerian prison that's not even fit for dead rat, crime rate is exponential.

even Nigerians that are not in prison are under the risk of ending up in kidnappers den, or detained by BPF when they do some of their crazy "raiding" so freedom is not really on the table in nigeria

Japanese prisons are highly regimented. The guards are totally in control of both the facility and the inmates.

Every second of an inmate's life is completely programmed from when you sleep, wake up, eat, take a bath and you must work for a minimum of 10hrs daily. The food for each inmate is apportioned to just about the exact calorie requirement given the job assigned to them. There's absolutely no conversation or interactions between prisoners outside their daily rec time which is just 30mins. Prisoners are either in their cells sleeping or working. There's zero gang activity or violence even though there are hardcore Yakuza mafia inmates .

The life of an inmate in a Japanese prison is spartan to the core without denying the inmate his or her basic fundamental rights and human needs.
All western nationals who end up in Japanese prisons wish they did their time in the violent US gay clubs they call prison because of the almost total control the guards have over the prison.
