Hello Everyone,
Please what's the update on migration from the old portal to the new one? The people I know in the same situation had to pay a new visa fees and get on the new portal as no one seems to have been migrated.
I paid for visa application via GTbank on the 23rd of February 2024 but encountered a setback with was eventually rectified by the help desk. I wasn't able to choose a preferred date before the migration.
Is there any hope of migration, or I should just pay a new visa fees and hoop on the queue.
I'd appreciate all the help I can get.

Same boat, I was migrated since September, and till now I can't book an appointment I've raised 5 tickets on this, I can't even cancel pending application request and/or create new

I got an email that i was approved i should login but when i did it keeps taking me back to the payment page, for my son its going straight to book date but that’s February and i think it is cos he is f2, what do i do at this point?

Good day everyone, please my brother qualifies for the drop box, but after responding to the questions on the new visa appointment website,it direct us to where to pick date for normal interview appointment, my question now is,”how do we get the interview waiver confirmation or is there something we are not doing right” pls🙏🏾

Please can someone help me. I have just put in my us visa renewal and fixed an appointment on the Avits portal. However. I didn't mot receive an interview waiver letter. rather I was asked to book a regular appointment. I tried to go back to see if Iade any error whilst answering the Interview waiver questions but the portal was not allowing me to go back so I went ahead and booked an application with the hope that I will get the IW confirmation
Alas what I got is a date in May 2025 for a physical interview.

Please how do I resolve this as I qualified for IW having renewed my visa several times. Pls help me. I have created tickets to complain but no resolution yet. What do I do pls

I'm not sure if this is the correct group for my question, so please bear with me if it's not.
I hope this message finds you well. I’m reaching out for guidance on completing B1/B2 visa applications for my father- and mother-in-law, who are currently residing in Nigeria. I apologize if this is the incorrect forum and appreciate your understanding if that is the case.
Here is a summary of the steps I’ve taken so far and the challenges I’m facing:
I completed the DS-160 forms for both applicants, using the same email address for each.
I made the payment at GTBank and obtained the payment receipt.
On the old Traveland platform, I created profiles to check for available dates. Unfortunately, I couldn’t secure a date before the site became unavailable.
I transitioned to the new platform, where I successfully created a profile for my father-in-law. However, I encountered issues:
I couldn’t apply the previously obtained payment receipt to the new profile.
When attempting to create a profile for my mother-in-law, I faced issues due to using the same email address on her DS-160 form.
I created a new email address to register my mother-in-law’s profile, but the account has not yet been activated.
I initially intended to create one profile and add my mother-in-law to it, so they could schedule the same interview date, but it appears the new platform does not allow this.
At this point, I am unsure how to proceed. If anyone could provide advice or guidance on navigating this process, I would greatly appreciate it. I look forward to any suggestions or solutions that might help me move forward.

Fear not!!! You're on the right platform and your questions are legitimate.
Unfortunately, it seems those of us (I'm in your shoes too) who paid on the old portal via GTB but didn't select any interview date have been "abandoned" to our fate.
You weren't supposed to create any profile on the new portal as all old profiles are to be migrated. When the migration will occur? Only the Lord knows.
Honestly, if it's time bound, just go ahead and make new payment and start the process afresh on the new portal. It's easier and faster that way.
Let's wait for the OG's to respond.

I was able to book an appointment however the embassy eventually emailed me themselves to come in at a certain date and time. So I’m sure that might be the case for you. As for the duplicate user issue, I didn’t really have that so I don’t know how to help with that, I’m so sorry.
But I believe the embassy will reach out to you in the coming weeks. Cause that’s what happened to me

When you log in, on your dashboard there should be an option for new appointment. Then you click that. Then it should take you to a new page where you’d answer some questions like your full name, DOB, what visa type you’re applying for, I can’t remember the other prompts. Then you’d get to the part where you’re required to put in your receipt number from your first bank mrv payment. This takes about 24-48 hours to drop. Then after that time you can now choose an appointment date.
I hope this helps somehow.
