Hello Nairalanders. I was driving my 2005 EOD when it suddenly stops moving but accelerating and the gear was in drive. I had to turn it off. Start it immediately and it drove just fine again. Does anyone have an experience about what could be going on?

Your gear was overheating, visit a mechanic and get it looked at

Your transmission fluid could need changing, but make sure you see a transmission specialist first. Not just any quack mechanic

this is the first time it'll happen. I'll get it checked but It drove pretty well today

If it drove well today, then don’t bother changing the transmission fluid,,,,just check to make sure the fluid is at the right mark on the dip stick.

It’s common with honda accord. Your transmission is ok. Don’t bother tempering with it.

I think its sensor related. Sometimes it malfunctions just like phone and needs rebooting.

Gear might have shifted to neutral
