He was telling me how his wife is tired of him being an artist and want him to get a proper job.

He paints and carves and have to use vpn to access YouTube and fb in order to sell his products to people of western world who are his major customers.

What he said that caught my attention.

The issue is that their population is huge, so their govt used that as a bargaining tool to keep their general wage low.

Many Chinese are still suffering so that their country can sustain the quick global economic dominance via cheap exports. That is why Yuan was pegged against the dollar.

But, in very recent months, their are begining to wise up and protest. That's is why you see that their products are gradually getting more expensive now and many western companies are currently moving their manufacturing to Vietnam, Malaysia, India and even Mexico coz wage structure in those places are currently lower.

Also China have infrastructure that enables smooth logistics and shipping that those other nations don't yet have.
