Why won't Naira fall when same Tinubu, his son Seyi Tinubu, his Lagos boys in government federal and Lagos , Wike and other politicians keep mopping up all the Dollars, they loot in Naira and change it through Bureau de Change in USD and pounds. Wike gives money in Dollars in Port Harcourt, pays judges bribes in Dollar and other things it's a known facts by any body in Port Harcourt.

I wonder what will make some people to continue support this government of no direction. I don't know if some of them have no relative to talk to them at all. They are even bold to bring their foolishness to this forum. How I wish I can see some of them face to face then they will know kakhi no be leather. Tinubu is a curse to humanity
Many of them a very foolish.

It's just religious, tribal or kinsman related issue.

If you praise Tinubu right now, you will receive atleast 20 likes before 6 pm today.

That shows you that we have a lot of ill people in this country and just pray to God to pave way for you and your family my brother. Please, dont bother trying to pity Nigerians. They are hopeless lots.

8.42 Naira difference where the price is 1600ish cannot be considered as a slump, such changes happen everyday in the currency market. This is an intentional attempt to discredit the economy and create panic. It is unbelievable what this kind of journalism tends to achieve when we only heap on ourselves, more difficulty as we aid market distortions with bias news.

So what is the meaning of this story of increasing foreign reserves when the value of our Naira is getting worse and far away from the president’s N300/$1 short term goal huh

dre11:
Nigeria’s foreign reserves rose to $40.08 billion on November 7, 2024, reaching their highest level in nearly two years, according to data by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).

This milestone marks a significant increase driven by the CBN’s policies to enhance foreign currency inflows through formal channels.

Since September’s end, when reserves stood at $38.3 billion, steady growth has been recorded, reflecting a $1.7 billion increase by early November. This upward trend follows a dip below $34 billion earlier in 2024, a time when foreign exchange pressures and global oil market volatility weighed heavily on reserves.

My question is why is it that since Dangote Refinery started producing why is the naira keep falling even though we were told that 40% of our FX is used for importing petrol.

The more you look, the less you see
And you think the know what to do to fix the country?
Re: Naira Slumps Against Dollar At FX Markets by Evergreen4(m): 1:05pm On Nov 13, 2024
Naira slumping everyday

National grid collapsing everyday

Economy doing backflip everyday

Poverty index increasing everyday

Our president feeling unconcerned

Middle class no longer exist in Nigeria. It's either you're rich or poor.

Who and where do we run to for help. undecided

Dangote refinery might have kick started buh as whats the volume of our export to earnings, presently even our oil production as dropped amidst fall in int'l crude price

Besides some fractions are still importing fuel into the country,
when you scale these factors it weigh down our earnings that could have boost or strengthen then naira, until we scale up export consistently or we drive down dollar demand more n more

Yet petrol cabal wants to keep importing fuel.
Girls in naija still accounting for billions of dollars every year because they keep buying imported fake human hair from china using the same dollars
We produce nothing, import everything, and then wonder why the Naira is tanking.

The government must resuscitate the Steel industry by selling it immediately, selling the NNPC refineries and create energy competition
Re: Naira Slumps Against Dollar At FX Markets by JoshTim: 1:17pm On Nov 13, 2024
The question we should be asking is, where does Dangote source his crude and what currency does he pay?
Re: Naira Slumps Against Dollar At FX Markets by IMAliyu2: 1:18pm On Nov 13, 2024
We've been pulling a decent amount of forex, that the cbn can cap the naira and still maintain a growing reserve at this point

And you believed the lies Tinubu and APC were telling Nigerians, I never believed it...

The main reason why Naira is falling has little or nothing to do with almost everything they claimed, the main reason is corruption and mainly by Tinubu, APC and the entire government in partnership with their cronies outside of government...

When they say import and all that production thing they say I just laugh, those are secondary issues, till you see these present politicians running up and down to oppose a monetary policy Tinubu or the CBN makes then know they have started doing the right thing.

It doesn't defy any economic logic, we just have wicked and heartless leaders currently running the country...
Tell us why the naira is falling. Avoid generalities and sound bites. Just tell us using basic economics why it is falling
