“You’re addressing a government that came into office in 2022. How do you reconcile that? The guy is going to media houses; I’m a journalist myself. What are the media houses going to do? Was it this government that awarded the contract? No. So let him go and meet the people who awarded him the contract. I’m sure they are still around and still alive. “The sitting government would often tell us that they do not know about it because they did not approve the contract,” Okeke said. Between HE Obi and HE Chukwuma, the two political opponents, lies the money of Mr Okeke. N36m in 2008 is worth far more than it's in 2024 yet they are still withholding his money and punishing him. This is bad and completely unacceptable. I plead with all well-meaning patriotic Nigerians to help prevail on Messrs Peter Obi and/or Chukwuma Soludo to please pay this debt to Mr Okeke.

Peter Obi’s government has a record of paying contractors. I read where the ministry officials were insisting they paid the money, so if something went wrong somewhere, the subsequent governments should’ve resolved it Just take your case to court if everything is genuine and ask for N300 million due to Balablu Bulaba inflation, you don’t need to drag Peter Obi’s name into it. |

In this life eh, just be what you are. The moment you try to pretend, problems will start rolling in from all directions. Is this not the same man who donated 60m about a week ago? To think this is just one of several likely cases of oppressions perpetrated by this criminal. Now, compare N36m in 2008 with 2024. Just imagine if Nigerians got hoodwinked and voted this criminal into power. Just watch how the pandora criminal pay off this debt of "N36m" with the speed of light to save face even though the then 36m is more than 100m today. |

They really had to dig hard for this case because of the recent scandal. The fact is, Anambra government must pay this man his money no matter how long it takes as long as you have your documents in tact and your story is true |

Then I called one of the clerks and asked, ‘Can you please help?’ That was when I realised what had happened. The person they paid was working as a personal assistant to Obi at the time.” So it's not only Anambra funds he diverted to his personal portfolio but also funds meant to pay contractors for services and jobs rendered . . Obi nah thief. |

Lol... sensational headline. In the article, lamba king released the money but one of his aide colobe the money. I do not think one can blame lamba king in this case. But why are Nigerians like this? You steal somebody's sweat for a product you are not the one that delivered... And I am also curious as to how a contractor can be impersonated? Most payment have to be made in the name of the contractor, so how did Obi;s PA in this case succeed in collecting the money? |

Richtaiwo:Pretenders? Let’s talk about them. They’re the ones who praised Buhari for 8 years as a man fixing the country, while he was destroying the country. Just one year after he left office and they have betrayed him. So they’re not just pretenders but also betrayers. They’re also called cowards for a reason. Rather than own up and apologize to Nigerians for destroying the country since 2015 due to tribal and religious bigotry, they’re looking for everything under the sun to blame others. They can’t even own up to what they do. They used tribal and religious bigotry to destroy Nigeria but they’ll never own up to what they are, they’ll rather blame and accuse others of being what they are |

We discovered that they paid him in cash. They claimed he was the one who delivered the wheel loaders we took a loan for,” Okeke’s lawyers said. So this is how Obi will divert genuine contract payments to his aides and then pay in cash and have the aide ferry the cash to his private office in Apapa . Interesting. |

givedemwotowoto:Yes Obi has a record of paying contractors in cash and using state government convoy to convey said contractor with cash from Awka all the way down to Apapa in Lagos. |

AntiZikist:Yes at the time a contractor wanted cash. It’s no longer the case today but it was at the time. It will still be recorded in the ministry of finance records, but the mode of payment was cash. EFCC already looked into all these but no wrongdoing was seen ![]() |

givedemwotowoto:The contractor in this case traced the payment of his contract sum to an aide to Obi who was paid in cash. It's because of thieves like Obi the cashless policy was enacted during Yaradua's tenure. |

AntiZikist:What exactly are you insinuating? Tell us where the fraud was committed and how Peter Obi committed it according to you. I’m sure you know something that EFCC doesn’t If I recall correctly Peter Obi didn’t forfeit any money to the government as proceeds from heroin trafficking or any of that illegal stuff before or after becoming governor. You get my point? |
