I don't foresee the cbn clamping down on this any time soon assume the country's fx situation doesn't change.

The issue here is, sometimes, there's need to put up that caveat to avoid time wasting. I buy things on this platform but before I do, I try as much as possible to make my background checks and see if s/he is someone I can deal with. I won't come to you with "can I trust you". If I don't deal with you, it's because of the product/service doesn't meet my need after your explanation, not cuz of trust issues.

I've seen instances where prospective client (PC) would come and be asking what will you give as collateral, send me your NIN slip and the likes cuz they want to buy/need my service. Bro, that doesn't make much sense to me especially when you're from this platform (Nairaland).

Nigeria is hard but hey, not all of us are bad people, though, "bad ones no de write am for face", nonetheless, it's better to do your background checks and see if the prospective service provider meet your trust level before reaching out. It's frustrating and amounts to waste of time when after dedicating your attention to a PC and got a line like "i can't pay until I receive the package", "I'll pay half and pay balance upon receipt".... AliExpress don't do Pay on Delivery/Cash on Delivery, so, why coming to me with that line?!

I believe the trust issue line is just to reduce the number of "ghost-like-able" clients (permit me to use that if there's anything like that sef). I'm sure he still de see such, perhaps, less than what he would probably get without that line. [/color]

So he is now admonishing you to kindly stop discriminating against them who have trust issues and find a way through which can accommodate them as one of your clients. It could also be because sales coming from Nigeria has dropped drastically and they aren't encouraged to drop coupons since sales coming from Nigeria has become insignificant.
