When the majority of the so-called deportees have probably never boarded an aircraft or even strayed into an airport in their entire lives.

Those people were not deported from Nigeria.
They were deported from Algeria through the Sahara desert into Niger from where those who voluntarily requested to return home were assisted by the IOM in Niger to return home through the Nigerien airport in niamey

Stop cursing and cursing all the time. Majority of the malams you see in southern Nigeria are from Niger and Chad. A lot of them are in the northern part. If we start now it will another Ghana-must-go case. Their northern brothers will even kick against it.

In 1982 after my one-year national service in Sokoto and while working with the consultants that supervised the Goronyo Dam project, Niger Republic was a stone's throw to visit. The relative comfort in Nigeria as compared with the Niger Republic was outstanding.

On those good days, N1,000 would fetch 472,563.34 CFA francs, but today, it is a mere 372.53 CFA francs for N1,000. The people of Niger Republic were all over Nigeria as guards and street beggars but currently, the reverse is the case.
