The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has said that the economic problems Nigerians are facing including the Naira fall was deliberately created by those who are against removal of fuel subsidy by President Bola Tinubu.

The cleric in a video of one of his sermons said that though Nigerians had been having financial challenges before the President came into power, those who were benefitting from fuel subsidy for petrol importation were not happy with Tinubu and decided to create problems and caused the Naira depreciation.

Adeboye said that if he and some people who joined him had not prayed and God answered their prayers and intervened, by now, $1 would have been N10,000.

The cleric who thanked God for intervention said, “Before our President came in, everybody knew that the major reasons why we were having financial problems, we have been having it before he came in, is the fact that a lot of money was being spent to import petrol.”

He questioned, “How can we be importing petrol where we have this in abundance here? We spent billions of Naira on our refineries, they didn’t work. So, we can be able to keep on importing.

“That is why when the President came in, the very first day he came, he said this money they spent on importing petrol, he cancelled it, and we were all rejoicing, thanking God.

“But some people were angry. Those who were making the money from importing petrol, and they decided okay, we will create a problem. All of a sudden, Naira began to go down fast.”

The man of God said, “I cried to my people, let us pray. Thank God some people joined me in praying, because the way Naira was going then, If God has not intervened, by now $1 would have been about N10,000, but God stepped in.”

So, this man just said "we were ALL rejoicing when the subsidy removal was announced?

And, he doesn't know that Naira was/is going down because the government floated the Naira! He instead said that some people who were against subsidy removal caused it. These people are out of touch with reality. Unfortunately, they are the leaders that other people are expected to follow.

Since almost the 70s, this man had been scamming his followers with claims that without tithe they could not buy their way into heaven. He was forced only recently to confess to that scam after the revolt against tithing finally reached his own church. Was age equally responsible for that decades-old scam of his?

Pastor Adeboye has been quite vocal about politics lately. While no one is arguing against the removal of the fuel subsidy, there should have been measures put in place as a buffer before implementing it. Removing it on the very first day in office was a significant misstep.

If a so called christian brother isn't walking right, the bible admonishes us to keep them at arms length yet still regard them as brothers. But we must separate ourselves from them to keep our testimony pure.

Wrong attitudes towards this are 1)complete condemnation, abuse or ridiculing of them.
2)defending their lies and misbehaviours

This man is a god to you criticals with over 14 million of you as his followers... people who live and breathe his doctrines. If, in this case, you were to apply your Christian logic above which more than likely came from the lies/scams fed to you by this man and others like him, you would find that you would remain trapped worshipping him(living according to his doctrine) — you can't really keep him at arms length as you pretend and you still have to regard him as your god in this —all while knowing him for the liar and deceiver he is. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
