Hmmm. So IMF has turned IPOB also

Tinubu's government is an assembly of looters. They only use figures to cover up their escapades.

Time will tell

Lol

Wèrèy IMF pretending as if they don't know the original reform is embezzlement... Every other thing is just a slogan to deceive the people for 8 years...

Your citizens can barely feed
Companies posting losses closing down
Foreign investors exiting...
Currency unrealizable....

Every two weeks the clueless guy will come out and call it "bold reforms" hahahahaha

It is confirmed. Tinubu and his Government have failed this Country

Hmmmm...

You'd know the external forces working to hold this country down are not doing too much to achieve that, only need to have the wrong guys in office and all their wishes are met. If not so, how can you explain this?

These neo-liberal economies would tell our headless leaders what to do, because they have white skin, our leaders take everything hook, line and sinker - they'd implement, throw their people into poverty net and the same institutions come back to tell us how that policy is not working.

They told us this many years down the line when IBB and Olu Falae promoted SAP and forced it down our throats - they said it failed because it was not fully implemented(as Farooq Kperoggi recalled in one of his articles). I wonder which part of the SAP was not implemented.

It's high time we started arresting those good for nothing economists who come on air to preach the benefits of a policy and they turn out bad for our country.

The same advice that Indonesia and Malaysia turned down from IMF and World Bank is the same policy our government rushed to swallow. We know where those countries are today and look at where we are.

No nations survive multidimensional strain like Nigeria is facing.

As a Nigerian, I've had the foretaste of what Hell feels like, I want God to remember this face and save me a place in paradise.
Shocked to see this from you Mr NgeneUkwenu...

Unfortunately, you all said Tinubu knows what he's doing...and we keep sinking...

If Tinubu’s lootocracy didn’t work out for 20 Lagosians since 1999, why would it work out for 200 million Nigerians huh

The lack of state-owned pipe-borne water in the homes of Lagos residents has continued to be a source of concern, a non-profit group, Corporate Accountability and Public Advocacy Africa (CAPPA) has said.

At a press event to mark this year’s World Water Day, the group said its monitoring team’s visit to state-owned waterworks showed that most of them are not operational.

The group said the waterworks it visited include the ones at Maryland, Mushin, Ikorodu, Obalende, Agbowa, Onikan, Ikoyi, and Amuwo Odofin.

Only the one in Ikoyi is producing water, according to CAPPA.

The reason why it was considered not to be working is because of political and regional resistance.

The sooner the federal government realizes that the IMF prioritizes its own interests, the better it will be for all Nigerians. You can't rely on a loan shark to teach you how to save.

Borrow 30 trillion

Invest 50 billion on SMEs then turn around n act surprise when the economy don't grow

Lmaooo

Keep borrowing to build road, bridges n rail
How they always feign surprise at there own counter productive effort is what i hate about APC govt the most

You keep increasing taxes and fuel prices simultaneously then you face Nigerians nd wonder why inflation keeps rising

They went after Abokifx, later they said it was Binance, they would blame just anyone except for themselves. useless govt

Interestingly not quiet long the WB said, the FG/Nigeria should hold on to their reform policies and stick to it be consistent and over a long duration the economy ans people will see the desired results.....
But look now, the IMF says the policies ain't working and it's putting the masses into more hardship...

Between the WB and IMF, which institution should Nigerians believe?

We know what a long term policy is but what is the FGs short term policy duration to know if it's working as predicted by the economy handlers?
Re: Reforms In Nigeria Not Working, IMF Report Hints by SalamRushdie: 7:45am On Nov 16, 2024
Was there any reform? Absolutely non , what we had was the presidents cronies hiking fuel prices so the could make obscene money of Nigerians and pretend it was removal of subsidy... Tinubu cronies hijacked the entire downstream of oil and created unsustainable price hike in a bid to make blood money
Re: Reforms In Nigeria Not Working, IMF Report Hints by WorkTheTalk(m): 7:46am On Nov 16, 2024
Reforms are not working because they're overwhelmed by corruption.

Nigeria is facing serious challenges. Despite heavy taxation and substantial government revenue, it is evident that this administration has borrowed more than any other in the country’s history.

They are, and were right to do so. After taxation and subsidy removal, there is something called production which we have ignored since time immemorial.
