Good afternoon my nairaland family. I am so thrilled to have been awarded an award of excellence, with good compensation by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, as I came first overall across the Nation in the EFCC essay writing competition 2024 on cybercrime. The competition was to award 3 winners in the tertiary category across and to my surprise I came first overall.

As a young aspiring lawyer, I saw the writing competition as a means to express my view on Cybercrimes and how we can help our socio-political system to combat this evil. My essay met the top standards of the judges and I was invited to the National Cybercrime Crime Summit in the Presidential Banquet, Aso villa, Abuja; and was awarded by the EFCC chairman Mr Ola Olukoyede Esq.

An award of excellence it is. Indeed, Nigeria cares for its younger generation and I am happy to be recognized. Congratulate me Nairalanders.

Actually this reason was buttressed on a lot. That was the highlight of the summit and yes there’s government plans to address this issue of unemployment

I get your point and truly understand where you're coming from.

An achievement of this magnitude deserves a wider coverage, improved motivational packages and of course more financial motivation. How else are we supposed to demonstrate to the upcoming generation that education is a rewarding venture?

After that plaque, golden handshake and 800K, don't be surprised that the OP wouldn't get anything more. However, if it's one stvpid event or meaningless challenge, the winner would have walked home with millions.
