Sometimes I think back to years ago when a governor in my state was killed, that very night many people(mostly his tribe) were saying he came back to life, the whole state heard that news and many were jubilating, some fearful, obviously, it never happened. He died, but that occurrence led me to ask a question, if in the year 2000+ people were fooled like this, what of in 30 BCE? Could someone influential had died and their tribesmen would cover it up to seize religious and political power? The Judaic tribes back then often had been waiting for a resurrected savior for thousands of years even before that year, so what's to say they didn't lie about it to fulfill their own prophecy? Also growing up, I've worked in the church and something funny used to happen, anytime a member went to see the pastor about a testimony, the story would become more supernatural, the last one was a group of girls a trailer crushed their dad's car with them inside. When I heard them say the testimony, there was space in the car for them to get out, when the pastor retold that testimony he said they saw God's hand holding the top of the car. Just something to think about. |

You have dropped a wonderful food for thought bro It calls for deep and sober reflection |

Davidcorny:like your fake governor story, the people at that time immediately pointed out that it was a lie. Even just reading it we immediately smelt your lies here. So clearly, you are just here to tell us that you are a Satanist. |

Dtruthspeaker:I am not a Satanist, it's funny how you immediately went to attacking me instead of reflecting on my post, he was a Kogi Governor- Abubakar Audu. The official story is he had a bleeding ulcer, some said he was poisoned, the fact is that night his supporters and tribesmen all claimed he came back to life. Something I want you to think about is if you don't believe me, why would you now believe a story gathered from different people who all had an agenda to sponsor that belief? |

Davidcorny:Same way you believe/do notl believe the news you read here. God gave us the power to discern Truth and Lies and if a report is a lie, people. immediately know and say so, and prove it so. And we see the Liar is unable to defend it. And this did not happen to the bible, rather everyone who read it immediately knew it was True and since its release no one back then came out to say it is not true. That is how we know the bible is True and why we believe that it. |

Davidcorny:The person that called you a satanist could v called you a janjaweèd too. They are the two major enemies of Christendom. However I can help you give him a knock for a he was too quick to call you a name. To the topic, I recalled Audu's story. That should be in 2016. It was here in nairaland and most dailies. In fact, I think he got a new bride, 20 years old girl in 2014 or 2015. The girl sha mo enjoy his prîck before the man go. Like 40 years giff btw them. It's possible for someone to be clinically dead and still resurge back. Some will live longer and some may collapse back and not recover after a short time. However, there's spiritualism and in Christendom, people resurrect. Janjaweèds sef confirm in Koran that Jesus resurrected people and He himself resurrected. Bible recorded it. In present day, there are many accounts of resurrection. Nevertheless we can't dispute fake miracles. In every original product, there must be fake. So it's no big deal. Expect a miracle this week, say Amen!

Davidcorny:Difference was, the Christ's resurrection story was pushed by peasants and what people would call "dregs" of the society then. The mainstream made up of the "important" folks did everything to suppress and make the story a lie, but it was not successful. Even under the threat of death, these "peasants" stuck to that story. Many of them were killed for it, by the way. Under normal circumstances, peasants don't push narratives; the mainstream full of the powerful people do that. Now, why do you think a narrative pushed by peasants, which the mainstream (powers that be) tried to suppress, is still existing today 2000 years after? That's the food-for-thought you should be concerned with. |

Brenbentondiaz:* yawn * , that's exactly what Christians say today but I doubt that's true for the reason Constantine and many used christianity to rule their people, so the rich definitely adopted Christianity for power. The most likely thing that happened is people who didn't want to adopt judaism in full( which is still alive and well today ) went to make their own but with their prophecy fulfilled, very similar to how Christians who didn't like Catholicism invented their own, Pentecostal and more to spread their own message. |

Davidcorny:Lolz. How logical does this sound to you? So, Christianity was used to rule Rome by killing and mocking Christians? You think Christianity started when Constantine became Roman emperor? The mental gymnastics you guys carry out can be amusing at times. |

Brenbentondiaz:When did I say it started that way? The point of this thread is based on how the rich/powerful carve out religions to their use, this is an undeniable occurence. Maybe you should look up mental gymnastics so you see who's in the wrong here? Your bible was assembled by the Council of Trent to fulfill the Catholic doctrine and so did the pentecostal carve out their own set of beliefs from it, then the mormons, and on and on again. Religion is a mental tool to control and subjugate bro, uncover your eyes. |
