Edo State is no longer among the top agricultural states in Nigeria, while Niger, Ondo, Ebonyi, and Kano have made significant strides in this sector. Edo lost out on Rubber, Cocoa, and Cassava farming Top Agricultural States in Nigeria: 1) Niger State: Known for its vast arable land and suitable climate, Niger State is a hub for rice production. 2) Ondo State: With its rich soil and favourable climate, Ondo State is ideal for rubber cultivation and is one of the country's leading cocoa producers, accounting for 40% of Nigeria's cocoa exports. 3) Ebonyi State: Ebonyi State's unique soil composition and climate make it suitable for rice, yam, and cassava cultivation, earning it the nickname "the salt of the nation. 4) Kano State: Kano State's vast arable land and irrigation systems support crops like wheat, cotton, and sugarcane. These states have demonstrated impressive agricultural productivity, contributing significantly to Nigeria's food security and economy. |

Gjrich:There are are still able bodied men but the insincerity of the last government worsen it. Obaseki invested billions on failed Sobe farms and others across the state in the last eight years. I pray this government got it right. Obaseki so called agricultural revolution was only on papers and media. Edo used to be a giant in the afermentioned. |

It's supposed to be an agency that will help boost Nigerian agricultural development,but like every other agencies, it's been used to gratify political loyalists and cohorts at the expense of competence and productivity. |
