Youbare wrong again. The only two markets relevant to the topic are Nigeria and the UK and in both countries the principles are the same. They could never have asked younfor xlarigication on the mortgage principles of Gambia, China or Ukraine. So in this context, there is no way you could have mentioned anything different from the principles that play oj both countries and refer tona different thing. In both countries you do not lose your contribution/equity if there is foreclosure and there is a balance left after deducting the balance of the loan, taxes, penalties and selling expenses. You advised wrongfully. Taxes are completely different and can be understood, even within a coutry like USA,Canada, and Germany, you have different taxe rules in different states, provinces and regions. So your using tax rules as an example to buttress your wrongful advice is illogical. No school will teach you that. Vision101: |

NaijaReppin:That is not true, this topic has exposed the lack of financial education among Nigerians. Mortgage is not just about having roof over your head, its also an investment that will make the mortgage holder rich as the value of the house goes up with time. |

The young man try as he take qualify so soon, especially for the house. Something wey only a very few wey travel go ever experience. Make God continue to bless his hustle, one day the loan will be paid off and the house go finally belong to him. |

NaijaReppin: After typing the rubbish you added insult to it, like i said before lack of basic financial education is really a terrible thing. All you have displayed here is your struggle to understand how mortgage works. Go and educate yourself before replying me again and keep the insult to yourself. |

justwise:Those are the terms of most mortgages. And I hope he got a fixed interest rate although I doubt it considering he has very little credit history in the UK. Same for the car. I can only imagine that he has the worst interest rate imaginable. |
| Re: Nigerian Man Makes It After Leaving Nigeria In 2021 (Before & After Photos) by justwise(mod): 11:38pm On Nov 16, 2024 |
mmsen:All you said here makes no sense. Fixed mortgage deal got nothing to do with your length of stay in the UK, it’s entirely up to you to go for fixed or variable. Getting a good interest rate has to do with the amount of deposit you dropped. The deposit can also influence your mortgage duration, so it’s not always 20 or 30 yrs , with a larger deposit one can get 15yrs or less. |

justwise:It also depends on credit history, which you have ignored. Someone who has only been in the UK three years barely has any. With minimal credit history you have less bargaining power. |

RodgersAkpafu:1. What goodies ...credit cards, car finance, home loans, bond/mortgage, overdraft facilities ? 😂. So how do you think we swallow over 50% of the new cars on the African continent? You think we all buy those with cash ?. Lol how do we pay for the homes.in middle income neighbourhoods, cash from where ? 2. @the vast majority are suffering 😂👍....compared to what , Nigerians and Brits? The British people are mostly living from hand to mouth and are heavily indebted similarly to the same SA.....and I'm talking about the middle class of both countries. As for the poor class of both countries; ours are on Grants and Rdp housing and the Britons on benefits and castle housing &all so I don't see the difference. What do Britons both the poor, middle &and upper middle class have over us?😂. Just name one thing that could impress us to abandon our SA for Britain the same way some of them are moving here because they can get the same working conditions and standard of living without breaking their budget ( exchange rate advantages). I don't even know why I mentioned Nigeria here 🤔. Let's stick to comparing South Africa vs Britain, the life of poor vs poor, middle class vs middle class, upper middle class and rich. 3. There are reasons why you don't see our professionals rushing the West my dear like your people. It's mostly not worth it. A SA nurse will opt to go and pay a 25-30 year bond/mortgage and36 months of car payments in Britain because? Isn't that's readily available here for them, together with subsidized home loans and medical aids? What would be the attraction? Is it for good roads , proper hospital care ,electricity etc ?what could be the motivator for that move that she can't access in SA💁♀️. The only people I support to move to Britain with their British bosses are aupairs/nannies, many of those Brits brought properties here and they need those SA women to teach their kids the local languages so that when they make the final move their kids will assimilate easily. It makes sense for such people to leave easily for a few years than say a Dr who already has everything the Briton Drs have in SA. 4. SA is modeled after Anglo saxon countries, this is why we are that empires biggest victims ( historically),and also it's biggest beneficiaries( both after Black Americans ofcourse). That is why both these black groups could careless about moving to Europe for a better life( we are talking about skilled and professionals, here right? ). Both countries are dominated by the same conglomerates meaning we get to have the same Western working conditions and experience without leaving home. So why would a SA move out of their paid Orlando Soweto , Midrand ,Centurion etc ( popular middle income neighbourhoods in Jhb) to go and take up a sentence of 25 years in the Uk?🤔. 5. And lastly we take pride in being local champions because that's what developing nations should be doing, putting our skills in developing our own countries (idealistic, yes ,but SA and others have proven it's possible). Look at our soccer league, it went from just another dusty African league to one of the best paying leagues not only in Africa but the world. That's why we have people from New Zealand,Europe and South America coming to play here . It's a gradual thing, the proper stadiums had to be built, healthcare professionals had to be sponsored, those in management had to go around engaging big companies for sponsorships and partnerships. We now need to focus on the actual football, hence money is put out to imitate what the Boers did with Rugby ( funding grassroots football, which is where we lack now. The point here is we prefer being part of building our own rather than enjoying that which we were never part of building ( slow-pace in some industries) but that's our development pace and we must own it and change it when we feel like it. There is pride in seeing your own competing against "better" countries in positives and knowing that you put all your energies into it. There is pride in having the first Doctor to cure deafness being South African and in South Africa than having the first black Dr in Finland 😂. Only the North Africans , particularly Morroco and Egypt rival us in indices like access to electricity, roads, proper healthcare, literacy ,welfare for poor etc. Ofcourse they beat us in some issues like the worst inequality and we beat them in others, healthcare being one. But it feels fckn good to be pitted against them considering that 30 years ago we were not even rated as we had overall poor ratings of the above indices. I was not ony responding to this post here. I read another post of yours about us not being found " succeeding " anywhere in the West 😂. I had to teach you why that is so. We prefer to build our own "yeye" West. "Going to put out fire in a township as a firefighter feels more satisfying than putting out fires in some communities in Canada ....there's a sense of pride". These were words from Sakhile one of the fireghtires who went to volunteer in Canada and was employed there for only a year but quit and ran back to SA because there was no benefit working there except for the exchange rate ofcourse but at what expense? Social life, pride ,family etc. Atleast we gave aid to the needy and helpless whites ,next time we will also send along SA AID bags of dog food to their hungry 😂.....just as they do to the global South. The black saviour complex must rise ....we did it with Australia as well. And we will do it with Britain 😂. We must continue giving Aid to helpless westerners by fire by force 😂...afterall they leave their homeless veterans and druggies to come and "save " us in our slums....its the least we can do....and we must take pictures next time😂. https://www.nairaland.com/7727176/south-african-firefighters-canada-fight And if your posts were meant to degenerate the African part of SA (normal Nigerian self-degenerating culture ) ......you failed woefully . So I expect you to degenerate further by posting pictures of SA slums as normal neighbourhoods in SA to buttress your "most are suffering " line😂. If you thought it was our dream to send our young black Doctors to this crap here : https://www.nairaland.com/7379019/nigerian-doctors-uk-lament-exploitation then you're out of your fckn mind .what SA Dr would leave SA working conditions and sign themselves up for this type of slavery ?. For what ? Bragging rights of being away from the dreaded Africa?😂😂. Nah honey,we are in SA because we love it here not because we don't have the same options as you, infact we are the ones turning down the West for trying to recruit us as mordern day slaves 😂. We are not the best paid Drs for nothing with the best healthcare system in Africa to match it ofcourse. Let us enjoy our slums in peace and we won't care for your damp and mould -infested flats over there. But a part of me do wish more of your boats to land in Europe . They must get their own too like we got ours. But the same me supports Kemi badenoch .@Gerrard59 |

Lioness5280:see long epistle hahahahaha anyways the only reason I came here to respond is to debunk your point number 3 I live in the UK and there are A LOT OF SOUTH AFRICAN professionals who have fled South Africa and have vowed never to return Heck! I dated two so I know London, Birmingham Manchester South African health people are quite in their numbers here They just don't make the same buzz and noise Nigerians make, but they are here anyways I know you lot will always jump to defend the nonsense in your country And it's fine and expected But it is what it is Whether you like it or not "if I want to denigrate the black SAs" Why the Heck will I want to do that? That's your own figment of your own imagination The world saw how you lot handled the Chidinma situation, so you are the ones actually doing a good job at painting yourselves black by yourself so spare us that talk Like I said before you can say or believe whatever makes you feel better bout yourselves But it is what it is |

Lioness5280:You did a brilliant job. There are words I have to describe what Rodgers did about South Africa (I will focus on it since you are a SAn), but out of respect and not wanting to be called names, I refrain from using them. But good and thorough explanation. Well done! RodgersAkpafu:The rate and eagerness at which they emigrate cannot be compared to us. Also, South Africa functions better across major indices than Nigeria. She made strong points, most of which you did not respond to adequately. There are many Singaporeans living in Malaysia and Japanese in Thailand, but the eagerness of both nationalities in Singapore and Japan to emigrate for a "much better" or "more relaxed lifestyle" in their cases is not the same. Even Singaporeans who have a visa waiver to work in the US don't fully utilise it, even when it is spoken English. As for the Chidinma treatment, while I berate them for going too far, Nigerians are no different and actually worse considering we share the same nationality. Deborah was burnt to ashes and many other atrocities. Nigerians are not in any place to school South Africans on xenophobia or discrimination. The summary is: South Africa pass us, just as African Americans. If only we invest this braggadocio into making Nigeria better than it is. cc: IbeOkehie |

@Gerrard59 To be very honest with you I do not have the energy anymore to be responding point by point I have exhausted it in the other thread There are south Africans scattered across the world and that's a fact Second, South Africa AS A COUNTRY is better than Nigeria on SOME Indices that's also true But that same south Africa has in some instances worse problems than even Nigeria, and that's another truth With the level of inequality and crime, and general decline macroeconomically, they are not so diff from other African countries Nigerians being eager to emigrate en masse is immaterial to the argument here South Koreans and Chinese people are across the world in their millions and millions Immigration is not something someone will use to mock any country "Only if we invest this braggadocio........." Really Gerrard59 Really? |
| Re: Nigerian Man Makes It After Leaving Nigeria In 2021 (Before & After Photos) by RodgersAkpafu: 5:21am On Nov 17, 2024 |
One thing we never do in Nigeria is blame foreign residents for the source of our problems Tribalism may be an issue, amplified by desperate politicians who wanna keep power and all that, but never will Nigerians gather to blame the Nigeriens, Togolese and millions of other foreigners who live in Nigeria as the source of our problems to the point where we start targeting and killing them That's the stock in trade down south and Gerrard59 you know that you just playing to the gallery here |
| Re: Nigerian Man Makes It After Leaving Nigeria In 2021 (Before & After Photos) by Lioness5280(f): 5:34am On Nov 17, 2024 |
RodgersAkpafu:1. Scattered?😂😂😂😂😂😂. During the election time SA did a census of its people in each an every country, and not even UK had 250 000 SA😂. And most of those South Africans are of English descent to begin with ,so they are home💁♀️. Scattered?😂. 2. You are more equal than us....more equally poor ,hows that better ? And Nigeria.hasn't declined economically?😂👍. Which country has grown impressively after Covid-19, name one ? Nigeria has digitally registered crime stats, and apart from Botswana and Namibia which other African.countries has such facilities to record accurate crime stats?. There are reasons why tourists feel free walking amongst us but need security to tour West Africa and Central Africa. 3. No one would mock you for your eagerness to run out of Nigeria if you didn't start mocking us for not being " successful " in the West as if that is a common goal here to begin with ....we are opposites of what you are ,respect that and we will respect you. 4. If truly SA was like any other African country then we wouldn't have Westerners and East Asians preferring to live here as professionals. Why are they not migrating in such numbers to Nigeria and Congo?. South Africa is an upper middle income country, how many African countries are in that category ? 5. South Koreans don't drown in inflated boats.though . No one said migration isn't normal but the desperation and prestige you accord it is why your case is peculiar. |
| Re: Nigerian Man Makes It After Leaving Nigeria In 2021 (Before & After Photos) by RodgersAkpafu: 5:45am On Nov 17, 2024 |
Lioness5280:Again, you are manufacturing scenarios in your head Damn I'm tired of this, but cannot help myself so here we go... again To To your point 1, South Africans are scattered all over the world just like almost every nationality. In the UK we can see the number of South Africans here, esp in the health and care field to your point 2, the difference between Nigerians and Soutg Africans is that we know and acknowledge the economic decline OVERALL over the past two decades But many South Africans are still delusional about their own decline ANC ruination of South Africa is something you guys bury your head in the sand for But we own it that APC decade of ruination of Nigeria was actually a thing So that's the diff to your point 3, that one is cock and bull story you are telling as to your point 4, we do have foreigners trooping into our country en masse as well... We have a huge Indian Chinese and Lebanese community doing business in nigeria Modi is currently in Nigeria and you need to see the number of Indians who went to "say hello" to him There are entire neighbourhoods of foreign nationals in naija, but its no big deal The main reason why it is mot much more is that unlike u guys that opened up doing visa free and visa on arrival bonanza, we actually do the reciprocity thing and visas must be obtained before coming to Nigeria Good luck with that And lastly to your point 5 "desperation and prestige" lmaoooo very funny person that's what u are very funny |

| Re: Nigerian Man Makes It After Leaving Nigeria In 2021 (Before & After Photos) by Lioness5280(f): 6:29am On Nov 17, 2024 |
RodgersAkpafu:Mr man,I said earlier that every country declined after Covid-19, not only Nigeria and South Africa....so what a silly excuse for abandoning your duties as citizens. Why are we not seeing the level of desperation to escape from other countries?😂. And you didn't start this desperation to escape Nigeria under the APC, why are lying ?. ![]() So in your head we are not abonding South Africa in our numbers because we are protecting the image of ANC? ;DWonders shall never end lol. So who is exposing the corruption and bad side of the ANC to the world ,if not us ? No the difference between us is that we don't run at the first sound of a gun. We know SA is affected by the global economic decline and government failure but instead of running we prefer to punish the ANC by reducing it's power and for individuals to make their own differences within those government departments to serve our own. You choose to run and never to look back. The Lebanese ,Indians and Chinese are sporadic in numbers ,they are not spread all over Nigeria. Nigeria is just not an attractive country for economic migrants Sir. You won't find Somalis, Zimbabweans, Tanzanians etc in their numbers there. Even the mini-Gods from India and them they are there on business ,for cheap.and unprotected labourers they can enslave. They are not tourists or job seekers desperate to survive. The Visa free regime in South Africa is for some Western nations only ,not poor nations like Pakistan, Lebanon etc but they are here in numbers ....so what's your excuse now ? |
| Re: Nigerian Man Makes It After Leaving Nigeria In 2021 (Before & After Photos) by RodgersAkpafu: 6:34am On Nov 17, 2024 |

| Re: Nigerian Man Makes It After Leaving Nigeria In 2021 (Before & After Photos) by Lioness5280(f): 6:40am On Nov 17, 2024 |
RodgersAkpafu:You said we are not running because we are delusional about ANC failures . And that you people are facing reality by running away from APC runiation of Nigeria😂. So I say , you didn't start running during APC rule ...the Sahara and Mediterranean has been swallowing you up way before Buhari and Tinubu. Might be worse now though. I still need the list of things ruined by ANC in South Africa that were intact before. |

RodgersAkpafu:1. The funny part is that in your other post from the other thread you claimed we are non existent in the West because we are all stuck in townships...now we are scattered all over because it suits the narrative?😂😂😂👍. 2. Are you sure you dated a South African not a Zimbo masquerading as a South African as we are seeing in Irelannd. All the so called "SA" there who applied for asylum were proven by home affairs not be actual SA but Congolese ,Zimbos etc. That include that black Miss Ireland. She is Congolese masquerading as a SA. And I never denied having SA elsewhere, but we don't rush* any nation or worship the thought nor do we see being abroad as some sort of achievement ( escaping Africa)😂. The British migrate here as well but they aren't desperate to do so and they don't migrate in numbers as well. 3. The world saw our response to Nigerians degenerating our black SA name online and disrespecting us in our country. And we are not apologetic about. So who exactly is the world, you mean the Westerners 😂....they must open their borders to silly migrants then and we will allow them to judge. Is it the Africans...now.can you tell me why those who are immigrants in South Africa are not escaping horrible and evil SA like they escaped their homes?. Why are the countries under the AU not sanctioning us or taking our evil deeds seriously? Could it be that they would never allow this crap to happen in their own countries or they benefit from the mess in SA?. Why is Africa watching us commit genocide against its people . I mean we wake up everyday to wipe out little innocent Africans for sport . We don't get provoked but we just wake up on the wrong side to go after innocent migrants to blame them for all our problems. Why are these innocent beings so tolerant?. The world knows propaganda and half truths and one sided narratives...they ain't that stupid. ![]() 4. What nonsense in my country?. What is happening in SA that isn't happening elsewhere? 5. I like that you're trying to downplay tribalism 😂👍. Tribalism is when.you discriminate against your own....which leads to mistrust among citizens and ultimately sabotages which make development and progress impossible....is that what you're using here to grandstand?😂. If foreigners feel SA.is hateful and bad they can leave...but can Nigerians who are told they can never be president of their own country ever trust or wish Nigeria well or even work towards a better Nigeria? |

Gerrard59:Nigerians generally tend to stand on illogical and fallacious arguments. You find university graduates making stupid arguments all over the place. Makes sense when you think of their high rate of success in 419 and romance scams. It's their thing, they're good at it. There's no mystery why Nigeria is the Poverty Capital of the World. As for South Africa, they forced ANC to put the White Mans DA party into government. They know where their bread is buttered. I won't be surprised to find the DA controlling the SA government in say 10 to 20 years. Compare that to Nigerians voting THREE TIMES for socialist APC. Mosquitoes did a bad thing to Nigeria. God Save The King. Good Luck to Nigerians. |
