He has been preaching about the need for discipline in the body of Christ and why we need to show reverence to God's word when we come for it. Eventhough I think the person whose phone rings should be asked to leave instead of the whole congregation paying for one person's carelessness, he said he finds it difficult to ascend in the spirit when there are phone distractions. So even if the person at fault leaves, he won't still be able to impart much on the congregation( though God can be merciful).

My conclusion is that disciplinary measures like this may appear cold and unloving but at the end they would prove effective.

So what will happen if another person's phone rings next Sunday? By displaying this open weakness, even the devil will send more men to his church to regularly distract him

So if there is an emergency of life and death, my phone should be off because I am in your church??

Apostle Arome Osayi stopped preaching and left the pulpit because phones rang in the church ! Is this pride or spiritual discipline? Did Jesus stop preaching despite the noise of the crowd? Would Arome have done same if he was in secular job ? Was he disrespectful to the congregation that came to church to listen to him?

Arome is a guy I respect and as a fellow comrade in the vineyard of Christ, I believe this was excessive and unfair to the congregation who came out to listen to you. I encourage you to take time to self reflect and publicly apologise to your church members ! This is very important because many younger pastors and Christians look up to you and see u as a father!

In a congregation of hundreds of disciplined people, one person suddenly is indisciplined and you walk away from preaching to the rest? So what if that phone call was the design of the devil to stop the gospel of that day?

It is very clear that very often, personal emotions shape and package what the pastors deliver.

It is good to make the congregation conscious of discipline whilst in the church and preaching is going on .
But a man of God who is truly in the Spirit should minimise and control the effect that ringing of phones has on him . How many things would he stop when he hears the ringing of phones? Having his meal, praying or shagging his wife ? Would he stop these things because of the ringing of phones,?

The MOG in this case is not comparable to the Judge in a court. You have to compare Apple for apple.

You have to compare court judge with church "God". And it's always unfortunate because nobody knows what God himself do or will do.

That's why I used the word "guess" in that line....."I guess that's contempt of God". We always don't know what God will do or has done!

He then WARNED and said phones ringing while he preaches OBSTRUCTS the flow of his anointing and if it REPEATS itself, he will stop his sermon and leave. Then another phone rang. He Stops preaching and takes his sit and all of a sudden he has pride.

Meanwhile same people calling it pride and arrogance will approach check points and won't pick calls. Many will pass CBN buildings and hide their phones by just mere reading the sign Posts. Many have been sent out of exam halls for same character but all of a sudden the man of God has pride and arrogance.

Many of you as teachers in schools have even disciplined students for similar act and most lecturers have walked out of classes for similar act.

I respect that man for standing by his own words and not caring about anyone's opinion.

It is not normal for another phone to ring deliberately shortly after his warning.

I am just going to ask one question. What if the phone that rang is owned by one senior citizen who doesn't know how to put his/her phone on silent or off?

I am wondering what people think of God when it comes to reverencing Him! If the law court can remain as silent and terrible as a grave yard, in which any disturbant receives instant punishment, how much the Church of the living God. Respect the person of God and the vessel regardless his status most importantly during preaching. The Church is an example to the world!
