I have successfully logged into my account and gotten an interview appointment date for December 16.

And they were earlier available dates too.

I guess maybe logging into the portal during the weekends/late in the night may help with getting early appointment dates.

I am just really glad and thank God i have gotten through this huddle!!!!
Now to prep for my interview!!!!

Yes of course. You should have opportunity for 3 reschedules.

Though in my own case, I rescheduled only once and the system is telling me I can only reschedule only one again. The system has eaten one of my reschedule opportunity .
I raised a ticket to complain about this, but as usual, nothing was done. It's just there, opened.

Each applicant is given two reschedule opportunities, not 3.

Abuja and Lagos has dates for July and August now.

I saw available dates for the month of November.

But i guess this may probably be because of the category of visa (F1) i applied for.

Create his own avit profile and book a date with his profile.

I think it is connected to the passport number and not the profile being used. It'll still show that except the passport number is changed.

You'd better choose any date or else you have no schedule date presently so far you have cancelled the one you have with the hope of getting earlier date.

Yea, dates for F1 and B1/B2 are different on the new portal. F1 gets dates for November at Lagos and Feb for Abuja while for B1/B2 gets May for Lagos and February for Abuja for now

As long as you dont select a new date, you wont lose your current date.

If you do not reschedule successfully, you'll still have your earlier date.

The Avist customer service agent I chatted with told me that each applicant gets only 2 rescheduled opportunities, which means he lied to me. I will get in touch with them again tomorrow.

Please does anyone know what happens if you don’t pick you passport on time at OIS , any idea of how much will be charged for late collection at least after a month ?

I got a mail to pick my passport just a day after I left Lagos and won’t be back till after a month , I am wondering what to do since I don’t have any trusted person to pick it up. I am also wondering the cost of late pick up according to their mail .

I would be glad if anyone can help me with viable information

I paid for my F1 visa around July this year, and I was able to reschedule it on the old visa page. However, the new date isn't showing on my new USAvits account, and I am currently unable to reschedule. Any solution would be greatly appreciated.

Here’s the process I think you can follow:

1. Book Your Own Appointment: First, search for a date that works for you and book your appointment.

2. Book for Your Wife: After booking your own appointment, pay for your wife’s appointment and monitor for the same date within 24 hours.

3. Reschedule if Needed: If the available date for your wife is different from yours, reschedule your own appointment to match her date so you can attend together.

4. Book for Your Daughter: Once you have the dates for both yourself and your wife, pay for your daughter's appointment. Any available date for your daughter will be the one you confirm.

5. Reschedule if Necessary: If you end up with a different date for your daughter, you may need to reschedule for yourself and your wife to match her date.

6. You can start on Saturday or Sunday by booking your own appointment and making the payment. By Tuesday, your booking should be confirmed. If you're lucky and see available dates on Wednesday, go ahead and make the payment for your daughter that same day. This way, you'll likely have access to book her appointment by Friday night or Saturday, depending on the timing of your payment.

I am still surprised you are able to make payment for your wife & daughter without securing your own appointment first.

Creating a profile for your son caused a duplicate issue. You should have used your own profile to book his appointment. A single AVATS account can create appointments for others once you have their DS-160. You just need to enter the details.

My suggestion is to delete your son's profile and wait a few days for the system to clear the log from the database. Then restart the process using your own profile. Once you book your appointment, you’ll be able to book your son’s appointment as well.

Note: This is just a personal suggestion to help you move past this issue and is not professional advice.

How can you delete a profile?

I've been getting the duplicate applicant issue since Sept for my wife and did not create a profile for her until just recently that I tried it to see if it will enable me schedule appointment for her.

You need to select bank payment Then you click on generate slip .Follow the directions on that slip to make your payment either online or at a first bank branch

Schedule your appointment.Avits seems to be lumping In interviews with IW,at the moment there is no difference.Go ahead to schedule another appointment to drop off your passport on the ois website ,just make sure it’s the same as the date on the avits site .As long as you have the visa that expired not more than 48 months ago to show them and for submission,it should be fine .
