Abdullahi Ganduje, national chair of the All Progressives Congress (APC), says Osun and Oyo states are targets for his party to win in their respective governorship elections. Ganduje spoke on Sunday in Akure, Ondo state, after the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared Lucky Aiyedatiwa, incumbent governor and APC candidate, winner of the election. Aiyedatiwa won the election in all 18 LGAs of Ondo with 366,781 votes to defeat his closest rival, Agboola Ajayi of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who polled 117,845 votes. The APC national chair said his party is seeking to establish a “political homogeneity” in the south-west geo-political zone. “Our next target now is this geo-political zone. The south-west geo-political zone. You know we are good at getting the target, We will do all that is possible to bring them into the fold.” he said as he was flanked by governor Babagana Zulum of Borno and Hope Uzodimma of Imo among others.

SouthEast Igboland is a no go area for APC. PDP or LP will likely win in Imo after Hope Uzodimma. LP's Otti is winning second term convincingly. Mbah is doing well in Enugu. My own governor, Prof Chukwuma Soludo (The Solution Governor) will contest unopposed. APC should just forget about Igboland and focus on Hausa(North) and Yorubaland(SouthWest). |
