They see the non-muslim region as DARUL HARB (house of war), you can Google this fact ( Darul SALAM and Darul HARB) to know that I'm not lying, they see a region dominated by Kafir as a region of DARKNESS that they need to bring to light by warfare that's why muslims of different sect can agree to fight kufr together despite the fact that they don't love eachother.

DARUL HARB (house of war) is anywhere that is not ruled by the Shari'a. Bokoharam, Lukarawa, ISIL etc is ISLAMIC as long as Nigeria is not governed by Sharia. They preached this openly from the 7th century up until the 19th century but when the West defeated Islam (Ottoman Empire), they started playing victim cards to the world but within them they still sponsor Jihad to conquer the world for allah. The West need strong leaders and outspoken majority to defeat Islam without that there's nothing they can do Islam will conquer the West. For the first 1,200 years of Islam no muslim profess that Islam is peace or peaceful. Those with him are STERN AGAINST THE DISBELIEVERS, yet compassionate amongst themselves. You see them kneeling, prostrating, seeking blessings from Allah and approval. Their marks are on their faces from the effects of prostration. Such is their description in the Torah, and their description in the Gospel: like a plant that sprouts, becomes strong, grows thick, and rests on its stem, impressing the farmers. Through them He enrages the disbelievers. Allah has promised those among them who believe and do good deeds forgiveness and a great reward.
