Frigga13:The illegal miners can find their way out, but they don't want to be arrested. The authorities on the other hand want to use hunger to force them out. The miners can now decide either to remain there and die or come out to face the law. |

RandDigital:You must be mentally retarded. Take responsibility for what exactly? Where does the article specifically say that all the miners are Nigerian, rather it says that they are from neighboring countries i.e close to South Africa. For the Nigerian people, you black South Africans are the true embodiment of the saying - Do not feed every stray dog you see, some just need strength to bite you. The white Boer settlers were right in treating you people like subhuman filth. |

Nigerians when they see illegal immigrats they think is them . There is no Nigerians mining illegally they would rather buy than go underground. FYI those miners are not trapped their refusing to come out. They want police to go before they can come out all SAPS did was to block their food supply so then can come out when starvation hit. That group of Zuma zama is heavily armed. There is South Africans there but is dominated by Lesotho, moz national , and Malawi national. One research found they are equivalent to a terror group like boko haram. Anyway Nigerian always ready to support criminals |

panafrican:There not trapped their just refusing to come out to face the arm of law and government can’t supply them with food or risk sending police to fetch them . Their busy sending demands for them not to be arrested or deported |

KLEINBASS:Stop embarrassing yourselves around the world and tell your ministers to choose their words carefully. The world is bigger than Gauteng. How can a country advocating for justice in Palestine decline to remove starving and dying miners. |

Sepukku:I agree that she was not smart with her word is to risky for police to go underground and their saying they will only come out if police . So you are saying police should sign agreement with the criminals that they won’t arrest them . If you know the violence history of zam zamas you will know that their equivalent to a terror is like Nigeria negotiating with boko haram. By the way the lesotho nationals, zim and moz might be dominating however there is a lot of South Africans there so it have nothing to do with nationality. You’re the same guy who blame the South African officials for being weak but yet you are against them when they go for criminals . I have concluded that your wish is for lawless in South Africa. |

KLEINBASS:i don't think the police should go in either however that is not the contention. You can have other services attempt to go in and negotiate with them to come out or at the least send food and water and health services in there. It is obligatory that you do not leave them there to die no matter what crime they have committed. KLEINBASS:I am fully aware of the struggles SA is experiencing in terms of trying to curb lawlessness and navigate obligations under its constitutional mandates and this is a situation where that resolve is tested which is why the world is watching. Your people wrote the constitution not me so don't channel your anger at the wrong person. |
