No Benin does not need them. You have to conduct a traffic study, do an urban planning study etc. you have to build things because it actually makes scientific sense not because you feel like it.

Congradulations, you built the fly over with 4 lanes above, and 4 lanes below. guess what, the bridge over the ikpoba river 150 meters away is only 1 lane in each direction. that is what causes more of the traffic which gets backed up to ramat park. are they fixing the bridge over ikpoba river? no!!! they rather waste money on some stupid flyover that will fix nothing.

This is why a proper traffic study needs to be done and nigerians need to stop being so gullable and stupid. educate yourselves and think critically. All you guys just scream fly over fly over, this city has fly over so we need one, when you actually dont. and more money gets waste and nigeria still remains a shitty 3rd world country.

He should be fixing the roads we already have and bring them up to standard, instead of wasting money on fly-overs

White elephant projects are the perfect conduits for huge misappropriation.

Aside from the fact that this is just another avenue to launder money. If you ask the governor data and feasibility studies that he relied on before coming to the decision to build the flyover I am certain he does not have any if anyone have they could share it. An estimate on the project impact on economic indices e.g per capita. I would advice Him dislodge the cult group leadership structure and sponsors in the state that is if he is not a major sponsor himself, focus on improving efficiency and transparency in the state civil service he could start with procurement process. Set up a a statistic ministry that publish monthly economic indicators. Focus on quality primary, secondary and vocational education etc ease of setting up and doing business. Improve efficiency in public transportation systems etc. There are many critical developmental things he needs to focus on.

Your brain is empty in regard to the flyover been proposed at ramat park. Obaseki campaigned with and he said he has carried all feasibility study but he couldn't have the political will to deliver it. The park as outlived it's initial purpose. It need to go and a tripod flyover install.

It’s been long I left Benin City though but I don’t think there’s any need for a flyover bridge there.

Make solid and deeper gutters. Well drained and well covered. Widen the road and put superb asphalt and solid interlocking around that sloppy road (after Sandfilling it to level) before getting to Ramat Parke-Aduwawa Road.

Barricade some areas with concrete and make two pedestrian bridges.

I am sure doing this will save them 50% of what they plan spending on the whole bridge and its road.

You're truly ignorant. Have you been to ikpoba slope before? Someone rightly pointed it out earlier. Now, how will the flyover connect Benin metropolis? You will mention lucky way, then what? Ikpoba slope, which is too narrow and has been the major problem in that route.
This is obviously the kind of government that favours political actors just like Wike's overinflated flyovers for 8 years, yet no meaningful HDI. If he were serious about solving the problem on that route we all know what should be done.

P.S. What Sapele Road by Kada is now, is what Ramat Park needs (similar), if Ikpoba slope can be taken care of. But no, na meaningless projects una always they celebrate.

That road leads to baba Osho village so I understand that it was on the Osho map but Obaseki was forming power Mike. This governor will definitely perform just like Osho baba did because many people still don't understand what Osho baba did to transform Edo State and everything Obaseki did was under the initial plan of Osho baba just that Obaseki wanted to take all the glory to himself which led to his downfall. Fly-overs do not lead to decongestion of traffic
