I hate sensational headings like this one. These incidences happened under Buhari Government. Why bring Umahi into the story? This is 2024. An event that happened several years before Umahi became minister of works is being pinned on him. The housing ministry is not even under FMoW now. And again, there was someone or some people in charge then, why can the newspaper investigate (Simple Google search would have helped) and publish the right names to support the content?

One can even argue that there's absolutely nothing wrong in his name being put into the heading, because it is believed everyone who stumbles on it is supposed to read well enough to know that it's the past activities of his Ministry that's under scrutiny.

Much as the heading oozes mischief, it will cost an avid reader nothing to carefully go through the article so mix-ups can be avoided.

How different are you the reader from the publisher who put up the sensational headline if you won't take few minutes to read before dishing out an opinion?

It has relevance because Umahi is the same person that did the white elephant airport project in Ebonyi state and now presently the minister of works in same country. What are you really saying or what is your point exactly

Again looking at the replies under this post everyone is looking in the wrong direction a d blaming the politicians and the ministers.
The real culprits here are the civil servants, the directors and controllers of works, the perm sec, accountant etc, those guys are the ones stealing this country dry and getting away with it. They've perfected the act and would frustrate any minister who tries to ties theirs hands out of office.

They are the ones buying up all the real estate in Abuja, you go to Abuja and you'll see their kids lazying about, driving expensive cars and just hooning.

I went through the report because of the header. Trust me, not all reader will do same before forming an opinion base on the first impression indoctrinated by the header.
