Governor Otti has impressed me with how he managed to clean up Aba!

And something else i noticed is that Aba residents take pride in their environment and keeping it tidy! You can be watching a clip of Aba streets and hardly see any rubbish strewn around the place! It shows the problem has always been lack of good governance and not the people themselves!

With this set of governors in south east, Otti Mba and Soludo, south east is going to record a.great leap before 2027 because the three governors are on fire . Just look at Aba looking well developed with high rise buildings and good roads everywhere. Aba a none state capital is more developed than all the south west towns except lagos . The most developed south west none capital town is ogbomosho which looks like a slum.

Going forward south east will be a region of interest because we got it right with good leaders this time especially in Abia, Enugu and Anambra. By the first quarter of next year a lot of projects that will change South East will be commissioned they include

ICC = Enugu
Hotel presidential = Enugu
260 smart green schools = Enugu
260 type 2 hospitals =Enugu
Solution fun city = Anambra
Anambra government house = Anambra
Remodeling of ekwuemes square = Anambra
Ekwulobia flyover = Anambra
Portharcourt road = Abia
62km Umuahia ohafia road = Abia
Ohanku road = Abia
Ekeakpara road = Abia
Remodeling of ariaria mkt =Abia (doubtful)
Note these are projects I believe will be comissioned before the end of match next year. There are numerous other projects ongoing whose completion will exceed march but I didn't include the . If you know any project that might be completed within the stipulated time which I didn't add, you can do well and add it .

Soludo is doing reasonably well….though i have to admit that my expectations from him had me seeing Anambra much more developed than is presently the case! But i’ll cut him some slack same as i’ll do for Mbah and Otti because i’m looking at the bigger picture and seeing the national economic structure he has to work with….as well as all the economic sabotage Anambra in particular and south-east in general are saddled with!

I made this same mistake with Peter Obi during his time as governor in Anambra state. My understanding of governance then was largely deficient and limited to seeing only roads, flyovers, airports, stadiums, etc (you know…all the sexy stuff) as indicators a state gov’t is working. Given the benefit of hindsight, i now know better. Soludo has made commendable progress in ease of doing business in the state; open gov’t and accountability; primary healthcare; reduction of maternal and infant child mortality through free maternal and post-natal care; primary and secondary school improvements; etc. These are stuff that are much more difficult to show on the pages of social media, and Peter Obi recorded similar successes when he was governor.

Just to add that even in delivering concrete physical infrastructure on ground, the Anambra state gov’t is doing reasonably well too. My major grouse with the gov’t is the poor environmental condition of Onitsha roads and the quality of some of the newly constructed inner roads in the city!

Ok, you would know better than me but Soludo seems to be a slow down from Obi and Obiano. Even the accomplishments listed, his were inferior. But if you say so then I'll believe it

I have to give him the benefit of doubt, he said he will build 10 storey hotel, he is dualizing amawbiia ekwulobia road and has awarded dualization of Owerri road nnewi. He is not doing so badly like Hope Uzodimma though he is bellow Otti and Mba .

Nwifuru seems to concentrate more on human capital development, the direction of his government is not yet clear .
Hope is the only write off for now even though he still has three years to go.

He is touching everywhere, currently he is expanding some roads in Umuahia, again you need to see what he did at the abandoned Abia state secretariat and also commissioners quarters .
It is just that nobody posts his work here on nairaland. I use you to follow kepukepu tv on Facebook and YouTube and you will see what he' is doing in other places. Currently he is building modern bus terminals in Aba and Umuahia.

The much concentration on Aba is due to its long abandonment, even with all he has done so far, a lot of bad roads are still untouched in Aba

You are right, Soludo should be intentional in developing Onitsha just as Otti is doing in Aba.
A city doesn't just develope because individuals are building houses, government has to be intentional in developing a particular city. Sullivan did it in Enugu, Ugwuanyi did it in Nsukka, Umahi did it in Abakalili and Otti is doing it in Aba..

Onitsha lays the golden egg and should receive attention without abandoning other places.
