Mr. Man, thankfully in my comment i did admit some faults of OBJ during his regime. The fault such as do or die politics, monetization of National and State Assemblies and corruption in the power sector. I never see OBJ as angel and I won't see him as one till tomorrow but issue must be placed in perspective and not see a spade as a spoon, instead of agricultural tool.

I asked this millennium question since morning.
Has the do or die politics died done?
Has monetization of National and State Assemblies gone?
Are more money not expended on power sector till date?
If all these questions are still rearing their ugly heads, it means every successive governments come to your the same line and they were not there to reshape and improve the system but to just fulfilled their own ambition.
If the purpose of government is to do for the people what they cannot ordinarily do for themselves but if as at today, we are still singing the same song of what OBJ did wrong 17 plus years ago and at that there is no improvement on those things, then, the country is in a big mess.

Meanwhile, it baffles me that some of you are comparing the economy of OBJ's regime to this Tinubu's regime. That's tantamount to comparing sleep and death.
Yes, OBJ met fuel price per liter at #20 and as at May 26, 2007 the price of fuel per liter was #65. It was on the May 27, 2007 that he increased it to #75, just two days to his handing over to Yar'adua and in less than a month, Yar'adua took it back to #65.
Now, are you comparing the increments between #20 to #75 in 8 years of OBJ to less than two years of Tinubu where the fuel price has gone from #145 to over #1,000 in a country where the purchasing power of the people have gone so low. Eating one square meal is difficult for some people.
It was during OBJ's regime that our inflation was one digit and since then we have not experience such.
Bag of rice was less than #4k then but today a bag of rice hovering between #80,000 to #120,000 depending on your location and the exchange rate wasn't more than #125 as at 2007 but today the exchange rate is almost #2,000 while he met it at #450.
Only untruthful person would descend low to want to compare a robust and futuristic economy OBJ to a dead economy will have today in Nigeria.
In all indices, APC government in the last 9 years have failed the nation.

Idris didn't sing that song because of famine or hunger but he sang the song because of the political killings of that time but records have it that in the history of Nigeria politics, 2015 election recorded the highest number of deaths. Curiously the same Idris sang a song to drag Tinubu to the floor as a result of the biting economy, which was worst that the jaga jaga he sang during OBJ.

It is best for Tinubu and his supporters to own up to their maladministration than shifting blame than a man that fair better in his administration.
Trying to compare a eight year president to a barely one year president? Trying to justify Obasanjo's price increment and criticising BAT's government for the same thing? For your information, fuel was more than 300 Naira and dollar was hovering between 780 - 820 when BAT took over. You also talked about 4k rice and 125 Naira exchange rate during OBJ's time. Can you avail me with the price of a bag of rice and exchange rate during Babangida and Abacha regime compared to OBJ's, since we are now doing comparisons?
You see, it is your dishonesty, and the fact that I can see through your bias for PDP and OBJ, and your hate against anything APC, PMB and BAT, that I wouldn't want to proceed with this discussion. But crucify one and try to absolve the other all you like, but it won't change the fact that they're all failures, and there is no better failure. A failure is a failure

Very wicked and vindictive. Never forgives or forgets either. This was someone who insisted on removing Peter Obi as Anambra Governor so his "son" Andy Ubah could be Governor. Pure act of wickedness. Removing a mandated governor viciously just to install his anointed. That is quintessential OBJ.

To make matters worse, the unprincipled coward Obi is always prostrating for OBJ up and down today, as he does for Atiku who chased him out of PDP, whereas Fayose OBJ that did same to is still fighting OBJ today without backing down.

Some of us know our history well to remember the many unjustified acts of wickedess of OBJ that ruined lives. It is why his own Yorubas despise him thoroughly and why he cannot form Saint for us today.

Last line sums it up. A failure is a failure.
I laff when some says he knows nothing about the NASS cash in the bag scandal/3rd term.
Obj that we know to always mention names, whenever that issues pops up, he will say some govs, yet he never mentioned any govs name till date.
We know the police officer that took the fund there, I wonder why the president can't make the police officer tell us who sent him, when same govt dragged a whole IG(Tafa) and sent him to jail for corruption.

Only one president used them.

Several electoral malpractices. Late president Yar’adua confirmed this.

Destruction of all federal tollgates instead of digitizing payment collection.

Award of many federal roads several times without fixing them. Lagos-Ibadan Expressway was allegedly awarded many times by Obasanjo. Bi- Courtney is still alive.

Standard gauge railway contract awarded and billions of $$$$$$$ stô!en in his regime. No single train was working under baba.
No be Buhari come start the project?

2nd Naija bridge nko?

Ajaokuta deal wey go wrong nko? Who know wetin Yar’adua see wey make am cancel the deal when he took over.

Major subsidy collector

No balance of trade. Na so so import import until 2023 when T-pain started him own reform.

Sale of over half of federal government properties to himself - Transcorp and some power companies.

Power epilepsy and embezzlement of billions of Dollars meant for power sector reforms

Canceled local government autonomy

All edged sponsor of many electoral unrest (if you know, you know).

Lots of political silencing in his regime Ask Bola Ige’s family. No single arrest or prosecution till date.

Unlawful detention of political opponents.

Selective prosecution of ex governors.

Fuel queue every 5 market days because our refineries are not working.

Jamboree CONFAB and billions of Naira wasted on a report that no masses saw or even read the Table of Content of such report.

Boko boys were already bòmbīng their way to central Nigeria and we couldn’t stop them.

Grossly under founded military to tackle insurgency. And this has caused many of our farmers to stop or leave farming.

The list is endless.

That baba. He is too envious. He doesn’t want his record broken. Meanwhile, record is meant to be broken or shattered.

He 8s T-nubu and Fayose till tomorrow because they stood their ground against his style of governance. Soyinka nko? Fela family nko?

Tinubu would be happy removing fuel subsidy because of baba.

He never wished MKO Abiola well. Ask Rashidi Ladoja what Obasanjo did to him.

He was all edge to have influenced Babangida to take state capital to Osogbo, instead of Ile-Ife.

Atiku knows him well, the way he knows Atiku well. Atiku is only keeping quiet because of his political ambition. He knows baba can scuttle his plans.

Ask his divorced wife. She would tell you who that Kasongo is.

Obasanjo should have ruled with fear of God and make Nigeria a greater country because he was sentenced to kpai and God almighty brought him out.

This is someone who has ruled before in 1977. You are not new to presidency. You came in 1999 and only sought debt forgiveness and felt like a macho man.

If Abaxha had not delete and MKO kpaied, Abaxha would have kpai baba nah.

Only one man used these three deputies in a space of 8 years.

These are the people he used his hand to chose by himself, not because anyone chose each of them for him but he could not manage them because of their interest to become the governor of Lagos state.
This singular act opened the floodgate for political witch-hunt. He was the first Governor since Lagos history to have 3 deputies within a span of 8 years.

Lagos has been one of the state where undemocratic activity prevalent in Nigeria. Mostly all the candidates are selected in the bed room of Baba Sope and anyone that dare complained are subjected to political witch-hunt and all forms of molestations. We know many that have parted their way from Baba Sope just because they challenged the status quo. Obanikoro, Pedro, Bucknor, Agbaje, Jador and many are on the radar.

If on political killing, Lagos state was one of the states where political killings began. Funsho Williams was one of the people that was first killed for political reason in this country.
Aside this, there are incidences of killing of OPC members and Hausas in Lagos during his reign, all were claimed to have been orchestrated by his government.

Tollgates destruction was justified because those collecting the toll were not remitting to the government, so it was a conduit pipe for corruption. But are you aware that the same amount to have been collected as toll has been added to the price of pms that you buy per liter. This makes thekneh to go directly to the pocket of federal government instead of individual pockets. Stop spreading lie about. What you don't know, you ask question.

Mr. Man, there is a difference between appropriation of road in the budget and it implementation. Road may be appropriated but that doesn't necessarily mean it has been approved for implementation. Until money is released for it and firstly bidded for, it remain what it is as ordinary document.
Meanwhile, if a road is awarded and it wasn't completed or done, what is expected of successive government to do? Call the contractors back to site. Buhari did all these when he came in 2015 by calling all contractors that have been paid to go back to site or risk jail term and they all went back to complete the projected awarded to them. A good example is the Ilorin to Jebba road awarded to Emir of Ilorin.
Government is a continuum, the one not done one government, another government if he comes and feel it is important for it to be done, he should do it.

Unlawful detention of political opponents like who? Please list their names.

Please why must you lie. Fuel queue in every market day. This lie is too much.

If you have person issue with OBJ, why can't you just sue him than rolling out lies unabated. OBJ awarded railway contract in 2006, just a year to the expiration of his tenure and you expect the railway to be working within a year that he awarded the contract. Here below is the link to the award of the rail contract to puncture your lie.

Jonathan confirmed in one of his outing that the railway was contracted by OBJ and not him and he said it without mincing words, that it was OBJ that revived the railway. The link is below for your education.

You can try to bring OBJ down but you came late because his work and legacies cannot be bought in the market. He is not a perfect human being but the man was truly on top of his job as a president.

Are you aware that OBJ almost face out the subsidy regime as at 2007 when he was living. The policy was at the second phase in 2007 but Yar'adua came and reversed the policy. How could that be his problem Mr. Man?
Just I have said, if you have personal beef with OBJ, why not be courageous enough and sue him than libeling his person and administration.

Mr. Liar, Boko Haram began active destruction in 2009, two years after OBJ left office. Here below is a link to when the insurgency began in the country but you claimed that Boko Haram have started bombing during his term. Why this lie, are you a brother to the devil?
https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&opi=89978449&url=https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boko_Haram&ved=2ahUKEwjc8viv9-2JAxXFUkEAHTGpBQgQFnoECBgQAQ&usg=AOvVaw11IQ2w7f63nQjvVPBO9eAB

Mr. Man, was anytime local governments have autonomy? If you're truthful, it was only during OBJ that the country really enjoyed what is called grassroots governance. It was during his time that people know their chairman and counselors. It was people like Tinubu that destroyed the administration of LGA by the replication of LGAs to LCDAs. That was the genesis of the problem of LGAs. The replication was the genesis of the problem will face till date. As state governors start ceasing LGAs allocation on the premise of dividing same to all, since those LCDAs have no direct allocation.

Just I have been saying, if you have personal score to settle with OBJ, honorably do that through the right channel rather than lying against him or going personal even to his family life. If Tinubu is your God, he cannot be everyone God. It will take another world for Tinubu to untie OBJ's heavy shoe. How can OBJ be envious of a person he is more than in any parameter you can talk of. The influence OBJ command everywhere in the world, till the next world before your Tinubu can command that. You can only be jealous of someone that is more than you and not someone you're more than in all aspect of life. Yes, I say so without mincing words. Tinubu can only do catch up but can't beat the reach.

Out of so many accusations against baba, you were only able to defend, lamely, a few.

I am not even particular about Lagos State now.
Many time they raise Lagos State issue like that if Obasanjo, we go tackle Lagos State.

Dem no carry fire for head

We all know there was corruption at tollgates but demolishing them was not the right solution. Digitizing revenue collection and accountability was the best solution.

If Obasanjo is your god, good luck to you.

Tinubu can never be my God.

I never voted and never supported him.

So deal with all those issues we raised. I don’t need all your gibberish and google news sources.

For me saying OBJ is envious, I never mentioned only Tinubu. I mentioned so any other people, including late Oni of Ife.

I pray he grows older and when he goes, you would hear much about him.

They are not all failure. One fair better than the other and I am not out to exonerate OBJ, I did mentioned areas that OBJ failed in my comment and I will continue to do that till tomorrow but comparing a failed government to a government that was on top of her job, it is unfair and untruthful.

I hope you have seen that if OBJ and now compare it to what we have today? At official rate today is almost #1,500 while at the parallel market is almost #2,000. How would someone with conscience compare an increment less than #55 to an increment of over a#1,000, if the person is not a wizard or witch.

On the price of fuel increment from 1994 till date:

Abacha-Oct 4, 1994: N15 to N11(price dropped 26.67%)
Abubakar-Dec 20, 1998: N11 toN25 (127.27%)
Abubakar-Jan 6,1999: N25 to N20(price dropped 25 %)
Obasanjo -June 1, 2000: N20 to N30 (50%)

Jonathan – Feb, 2015 N97 to N87 (price drops 10.31%)
Buhari – May 11, 2016: N87 to N145 (66.67%)
Yar’Adua was the only president who did not increase pump price of fuel. He reduced it from N75 to N65.
https://www.vanguardngr.com/2017/12/timeline-fuel-price-increments/

Buhari left the price of fuel at #145 but today fuel is being sold between #1,100 to #1,500 depending on your location.

One thing I discovered is, many of you just follow blindly without applying common sense to issue. I will continue to say it, OBJ is not an angel and he will not be but comparing even his first one year in office to this deadly one year regime is comparing death to life.

There is a common saying in Yoruba parlance that says, oju to ma ba ni kale, kin wapin lowuro (the eye that will last you till night would not at early life brings out eye gunk). Tinubu started his government on a very wrong footing and that has destabilized his government, except he is courageous enough to amend his policies because it wouldn't work, as we are oil dependent and foreign goods dependent country. We produce virtually nothing.

Breeze go blow fow nyan.sh

Baba remains Chief Corru-ption Offcer of Naija.
I don't dwell on frivolities that was why I got tired of your lies you spewed out there.
Mr. Man, demolishing the tollgates was the best thing done by OBJ's government, if it was necessary governments that came after him would have built them back and the nation will return to tolling directly again. Please can you tell me any system that Nigeria cannot compromised? Even banks systems that have been digitalized, Nigerians still ways of compromising them. The best and direct way of sourcing for the money is the direct payment on the point of purchase of the pms at the ports. And that was why it was added to the price of pms, which every marketers pay for at the point of purchase and in return retailers pay for same at nozzle.

Mr. Man, you've raised but nothing. You only ended up cooking up lies upon lies and even went personal on OBJ and his family, instead of focusing on his government. This is why I told you, of you have personal score to settle with him, the best place to go to vent your anger is the law court than throwing lie about unabated.
Everything you said we're all bogus lies and that was why I got fed up to puncture the remaining lies, as my comment was already looking voluminous.

You have already elevated Tinubu to the class of God and you have seen him infallible by shielding his many fault lines and going haywire against your perceived enemy in OBJ.

Why would OBJ be envious of anyone for that matter? What does OBJ want that God has not blessed him with? He's still the most decorated president till date and till the world to come. Let someone beat his 11 years reign first, before we can say he is envious of the person. How can he be envious of mushrooms people?

It seems you don't even know OBJ. You're praying for OBJ to grow old, a man that is already 87 years. He said, he is already at the departure lounge and ready to go at any time. The man is not even afraid of death, unlike the rest ojelus in the town.

If OBJ is the Chief Corruption Officer of naija, then, Tinubu should be Emeritus Corruption Officer of Naija.

Mr. Man, I don't drop data without attaching the link to it. That was I attached the links to them for verification.
If you've used your common sense, you would have know that the increment was for a period of 8 years. But you were blind to see that OBJ even dropped the price within the 7 days he increased it to #30 to #22. I know you feigned ignorance of that. It was after two years he increased it to #26. Again, It was after full three years on the reign that he increased it to #42. And again #50 after a year and after three months he increased it to #65 and it was in #65 till two days to the expiration of his tenure when he increased the price to #75.

Now, for point of emphasis, the increase was informed because they were phasing out subsidy, and that was phase one while phase two was expected to be phased out by Yar'adua's government but instead within a month of his assumption of office, he reverted to the old price and started paying as subsidy the differential.
OBJ planned a good ground for Yar'adua government but he spoilt it and that was the genesis of subsidy payment till date. If Yar'adua had kept to the policy of phasing out the subsidy, the problem would have been solved for long.
Meanwhile, you will see that the increments were systematic and not fire brigade and combat approach that Tinubu ditched out.

I paste here again for point of emphasis.

Obasanjo -June 1, 2000: N20 to N30 (50%)
Obasanjo-June 8, 2000: N30 to N22(price drops 26.67%)
Obasanjo-Jan 1, 2002: N22 to N26 (18.18%
Obasanjo-June, 2003: N26 to N42 (61.54%)
Obasanjo-May 29, 2004: N42 to N50 (19.05%)
Obasanjo-Aug 25, 2004: N50 to N65 (30%)
Obasanjo-May 27, 2007: N65 to N75 (15.39%)

Let me go mathematical as to compare it with the government of Tinubu almost two years.
OBJ increase the price per liter of pms from #20 - #26 in his two years on the reign.
Let's now compare it with almost two years of Tinubu.
Tinubu met the price of pms per liter at #145 but today the price is between #1,200 to #1,500 depending on location.

Why OBJ increment is about 25% while Tinubu increment is within the range of 80% to above 100% depending on location.

Even if you're considering the whole year for OBJ, people purchasing power weren't as low as we have now. People can still afford it easily than what we have now.

Please where in my comment did you see #145 as the last exchange rate during Jonathan's reign? Check very well, you will see #199 and #300 at parallel market.
Let me recopy here for you to see it very well or better still use your glasses so that you can see it very well.
