Country full of dishonourable and dishonest persons. Country wey no get money no be to borrow kwa Abi una get slaves that are prepared to work for free or citizens prepared to chopulate air. Often times my people go on a senseless diatribe. We need more with a capacity for joined up thinking. President Tinubu is taking the right steps but unfortunately surrounded by hyenas, monitoring spirits and thieves. It is well. Gadafii: |

Nonexisting1:Again highlighting why the state wasted taxpayers money attempting to educate many Nigerians. The message is in the post, the dates are relevant, if you cannot put 2 and 2 together. You are an educated mor0n! |

Kemetian:For someone who claims to be informed and enlightened, you ended up opining like a disoriented chatterbox. What is the correlation between the population and budgetary figures you reeled out, the paragraph with the weapons and war conquests and your closing remark about Tinubu? Are you stupid? You think writing in capslock ought to stand you out as bold and sensible? Your failure of a President made no reference to population indices or prior Western colonisation ordeals, yet you're here rambling like an unfed lunatic when in the actual sense, you just ended up saying nothing. Classic case of a village square cooking pot labelling a kettle black! |

I think the biggest problem of Africa is the inability of an individual to put the state's well being above personal interests. The above is well understood by the West and other developed nations, so they leverage on it. They will rather give a million dollars to 2 people to share and get away with a product worth $10b than pay for its real value. From Apple to Tesla et al. They continue to run down our continent giving us peanut in return. Yet, they are able to do it just by giving a piece of cake to a few amongst us who inturn gets weapon and turn against their people. Africans have always fed on their kinds. The northern elites in Nigeria would rather have the almajiri subjugated. They brandish a religion to put the low-income people in check, show a form of godliness themselves but are actually godless. I appreciate the frankness of Tinubu, but no ruler allows his subjects have what makes him to rule over them. Africa must come together. |

Anither563:Most of the problem presented or enumerated are self inflicted borne out of deep seated hatred, tribalism, disunity, very very terrible poor management of both the human and natural resources. and these will require local solutions to solve |

tundegan:If we are to ask you what he has achieved with the trillions of Dollars he has borrowed, remember, he just got another 1.7 trillion dollar loan from NAS through his paper watering Senate President......and of all these money with the Subsidy recovery money, what has it changed in Nigeria and to Nigerians ![]() You will still come to say TINUBU is just 2 years in office and so is not a magician yet to you he has become the best President Nigeria ever had .... Leave Sentiments and tribalism apart and face reality .... Reading from a memorized notes from Onanuga does not show boldness, brave and whatever you mentioned above... He needs to address issues that have lingered for long , he needs to tackle even if it is food price inflation, bring down the cost of ordinary one bag of rice, he needs to reduce the cost of fuel ... there are very vital things to do and we will know he is working..... Anybody even a slowpoke can speak exactly from a paper before him as seen from the video clip.... |

The Nigerian situation is this: We had for years been borrowing to pay subsidies. All the removal of subsidies means we are no longer accumulating debt to pay subsidies. Whatever net gains if any has been used to offset previous debt payments hence our debt to revenue has dropped from 97% to around 65%. It’s not like we removed subsidy and there is all of a sudden a cash windfall to spend. The net effect is we are no longer borrowing for subsidy. It’s like a junkie who has been on drugs for years and has now quit, the damage to his health of years of addiction is still there, all stopping means is that he is not doing anymore further damage to his body. We also removed the subsidy on forex by floating the Naira. The net effect is that the government gets more Naira for its limited forex. This translates into more Naira revenue for distribution to the federal, states and LGs. The bleeding has been stopped however there is still no meaningful funds available for real development. Hence our paltry budget and his appeal at the G20 that we need help and if you don’t help us all these eeediots you see on Nairaland will japa to your country and bring their eeediot ways to your countries. So help us to develop our country so they don’t come to your countries to spoil your countries. |

Kemetian:If assume our prob is as a result of our poor annual budget / population ratio, I will like to ask some few questions from you 1. Did we wake up one morning to meet our population at 250million 2.While the population was growing at an astronomical figure, what plans did the government put in place to ensure population doesn't outweigh the GDP so they can effectively plan base on national budget? 3. The countries you listed with favourable annual budget/ popn, what do these countries do to keep their population in check and grow their GDP that our own leaders can't adopt? |

Cocolatti:Rubbish talk, that is stinking 🦨! The Problems of Nigeria Economic Structures Since Independence: -Were you Outside Nigeria- when your Emiefiele- the Former -CBN governor - wasted NTRILLIONS and couldn't Accounts for it till date? - Till date Multi-NBillions of Farmers Anchor Borrowers Money- could not be Accounted for- under Una Emiefiele! - Are you aware that the Change of Naira- design, with all the tricks by your Emiefiele - which your LP, and PDP Collabo and were supporting, could not be Accounted for- but you want the Govt - to be Printing Money, since the Mission was thrown away and Naira is in Limbo under the FOREX --Management and you even Supported that Emiefiele becomes a Presidential Candidate - which was never done Anywhere in the World? The Mistake of this Govt are: 1• you don't just come to remove -Subsidies Of Oil- which the Whole Nigeria Depends, even if you are told by World Bank or IMF, without serious destabilizing the Economic Structures 2.and till today, the NNPC- is so Corrupt that ALL the 4- Refineries under them is Dead and the People are suffering,as they Continue to pour More Money, without any Solutions. 3.This is the basis of the Abnormalities in the Economy- removals of Oil --Subsidies- without alternatives to replace it,hence ALL GOODS , continues to rise( Inflation)and rise! Since this removals, without anything to support like More-Production: i.Exports Production ii,No-Agricultural Full Potential Development, even for the Youths, iii-there is Galloping Inflation on all sides( Products and Goods)- as the Prices of goods moves-upwith the Prices of Oil🪔! So, Rebasing the Naira is lower here, but removal of Oil Subsidies that ALL Nigerians have been depending upon sine Independence in1960-;is Major to the Troubles with Nigerian Economy. 4.Immediate Solutions: -Import more goods to enables the Local address their own Food Scarcity in the land, will make us reduce the high Prices of Inflationary Trend. Govt should stop listening to falsehood by Sycophants in Govt and Contractors: •that Nigeria has Food-Surplus is a Fallacy because Most States in the Northern Nigeria are having Terrorists in their Farms-Food Insecurities is Everywhere, hence FEDERAL, States and Local-Govt Should -Import More Foodstuffs NOW and reduced the Prices,as a Temporary Solutions. |

Gadafii:Bro, The man is in a dire situation. He actually inherited the worst treasury in the history of Nigeria. So, I understand that he may not have enough time to gather a comprehensive report, and submit a fully detailed proposal. He / Nigeria needs help. That's the core of the message. However, the only major error that he has made is to largely devalue the Naira. He should have worked on it in phases and create modalities. That decision crushed Nigeria massively. |

Kemetian:Whenever one listens to Fela the takeaway always is that our problem is largely a pysche problem and it is not today, it is not a new thing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XbLAIz-LjM4?si=idOf00lW7ey1dpPh as him go to school before (no solution) dem go teach am plenty things (no solution) dem go teach am plenty english (no solution) dem no teach am nothing for himself (no solution) dem go give am certificate (no solution) to go carry file for office (no solution) dem go give am certificate (no solution) to make am certified slave (no solution) dem go give am certificate (no solution) to make am civil servant (no solution) dem go teach am for dem school (no solution) dat Mungo Park discovered River Niger (no solution ….and this is why we have so many educated eeediots on Nairaland speaking English but talking nonsense….they were not educated to think but to “carry files for office”. |

Kukutente23:If you go back far enough, by which I mean a thousand years ago or so, then YES. Africans lived in peace. They were world famous for their peaceful nature and sense of justice. Africa’s problems or decline really began with the invasion of Egypt by the Greeks, and later on the Romans, and finally the Arab jihadists in the 7th century AD. Egypt was a BLACK AFRICAN CIVILISATION for thousands of years until the Arab invasion of the 7th century AD. Our ancestors built the pyramids and temples of Egypt and Nubia, in modern day Sudan, thousands of years ago. We even had small sized pyramids in Igboland, called the Nsude Pyramids. The British blew them up. But you can still see their pictures on Google Images, taken by the British before they destroyed them. The Greeks used to JAPA to black African Egypt and Nubia to learn everything from mathematics to medicine to architecture to philosophy. If you doubt any of this, go on ChatGPT AI and ask it tell you the birthplace of Mathematics or Philosophy etc. It will tell you “Black Africa” with full details. |

Bluntemperor:Oga Abeg rest with this your long epistle. By saying "your Emefiele" I believe you assume I am from the SE. Well, I am not. And again, it is wrong for BATist like you to dissociate your self from Emefiele. Emefiele was responsible for implementing Buharis economic policies and your lord and master Tinubu sponsored, supported and defended Buharis govt. for eight years. So what are you saying ![]() |
