Hello thank you. I qualify for interview waiver but after ans3ring all the questions I was only directed to book an appointment for regular interview which is now June 2025. My worry is that I need to travel in December. What can i do to get the interview waiver option. Did I make any mistakes in answering one or some of the questions?

Hello, I don’t think you can change it to interview waiver at this point. My friend had this issue and had to just pay again. I think a lot of people are having this same issue which is from the *annotation* my friend picked empty and that directed him to physical appointment. Subsequently (after making another payment) he picked waiver and he got the interview waiver appointment.

Schedule your appointment.Avits seems to be lumping In interviews with IW,at the moment there is no difference.Go ahead to schedule another appointment to drop off your passport on the ois website ,just make sure it’s the same as the date on the avits site .As long as you have the visa that expired not more than 48 months ago to show them and for submission,it should be fine .

They are not lumping the dates together. From what I have noticed the question of *annotation* seems to be the problem. If you don’t select waiver, you will be directed to physical interview. OIS will not accept your document if you don’t have the IW confirmation letter.

This might not be 100% correct. I did the scheduling for my parents and selected empty to the *annotation* question for both of them. While I got the IW appointment letter for one of my parents, I got the Visa interview letter for the other.

This new portal is really crazy, you just have to pay attention when filling that part to be sure of where it is taking you to else you won’t go back. I read that someone selected other and he got IW.

Hello, I'm having a challenge logging in. It says my password is expired and I should change it, but the page doesn't show a way to change password. When I try using the forget password option, it says an email has been sent to me with instructions, but I never receive any email. Has anyone been in this kind of situation?

UPDATE: I was able to get it resolved using the "account lock" hack. Thanks to y'all.

If the standard "reset password" option on the AVITS platform isn't functioning as expected for u

here's an alternative method to attempt:

1. Attempt to Sign In: Go through the usual login process three times, even if your password is expired. This will intentionally trigger a lock on your account.

2. Trigger Password Reset After Lock: Once the system has locked your account, initiate a password reset.

3. Check Your Email: At this stage, you should receive an email with a link to reset your password. This method seems to work more reliably for some users, as the locked status may prompt the platform to send a password reset link.

NB: all the old password reset link you sent in the past will all come. Just wait for a while until the last reset link comes so that way, you are choosing the most recent link which has not expired.

how do you create another appointment after getting one with physical appointment, creating another profile does it work using same passport number or he canceled the existing appointment ?

Hello everyone, please has anyone had this issue. I made payments for my parents visit visa since June before the migration. I have been trying to use the receipt to no avail! It’s really frustrating. I have spoken with customer care agent and created about 3 different tickets.

Now on the portal when you’re about to make payment, you can click on the prompt for if you made payment before August 2024. I clicked on the prompt, filled the date and payment reference, now it’s saying receipt not found. I’m losing my mind here. I used my personal email to send lagosniv a mail with V-44 subject as advised here but no response. It’s really frustrating . Please help meeeeeeee
