A member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Segun Sowunmi has said President Bola Tinubu is his party’s main problem.

Sowunmi, a former Ogun PDP gubernatorial candidate, stated this on a telivised show.

He likewise faulted the appointment of former Rivers State Chief Executive, Nyesom Wike, as FCT Minister, stating Tinubu had no business selecting Wike as a member of his cabinet.

“People will like to say Wike, but I will rather say President Bola Tinubu,” he said when asked what the PDP’s main problem is.

“He has no business appointing our member into his cabinet without talking to us. He had no business taking Nyesom Wike from our party and appointing him.”

Sowunmi communicated that when former President Olusegun Obasanjo needed to form a government of national unity, he sought advice from elders of the party.

He made sense of the fact that if Tinubu believed the PDP should be alright, he would return Wike to the opposition party.

Notwithstanding the crisis rocking the party, Sowunmi accepts that the PDP will be able to overcome them to reposition itself for power once more.

He said the party is neither dead nor sick, contending that the PDP is battling with democracy.

“We have not gotten to a stage whereby we will say we have gotten a new (set of ) executives. There are complications as to where Wike stands since he is a minister in the APC government and he is still in the PDP.

“These are consequences that will have to be managed. But I take very strong objections to the fact that you are explaining that the party is dead,” he added.

PDP is PDP's biggest problem.

Apc would never have existed if Pdp had put their house in order.

They laid the corrupt foundation which Apc is thriving on currently.

PDP is supposed to be Tinubu’s problem..

But that Party is dead.. or maybe not dead but run by some self-serving old geriatrics who either can no longer see beyond their legs or just been deliberately planted to cause destabilisation by the ruling people.

Let me tell you what an APC would have done by now if they were the ones in opposition..
They would have snatched some of the dissenting guys like Aregbesola, that white guy that just left the presidential media team, and many others, they would have resisted the government-imposed hardships on Nigerians to a standstill, they won't give the unpopular government of the day a second of breathing space, that is how to be an opposition..

Not when you leave the people to be punished by the government and expect that by some miracle on the next election, the people would vote against the Tpain government and you could claim victory. It doesn't work that way.

If they don't put their acts together, it would be another easy coast home to victory for the APC in 2027, well supported by all those institutions they have captured starting with INEC.

Tinubu is good but the ineptitude of the opposition makes him look more of an enigma than he is.

Like i always say, they had 14.7m votes, they couldnt keep their house together, they split their votes and the man with 8m votes is president.

First they say it was rigging, then they blame INEC, then the judges now they are blaming Tinubu, everybody they blame instead of taking responsibility for their ineptitude.

the fact that they are still defelcting and engaged in a blame game tells me they are not ready for 2027. If you are blaming others you have not taken responsibility for your misteps, if you haven't taken responsibility, you have not acknowledged your errors, if you dont know your errors, you dont know what to fix. how can you fix a problem when you dont even know what your problems is?

Obi is tweeting everyday seeking relevance, subtly campaigning by ending all his tweets with a new Nigeria os POssible, that is not a man seeking to step down for anybody. Atiku on the other hand is not going to play second fiddle for anyone, why would he campaign for the same OBi that destroyed his life ambition and he cant be VP again. so 2023 will replay itself.

These my party people are in real pain but Mr Sowunmi are you dead when the G5 and Wike governors were going here an there and said it openly they are supporting Tinubu?

Tinuubu played inclusive politics that cut through political partitions to give competent people appointment that is a very fair politics Mr Sowunmi.

Too late to cry, Wike is a minister till 2031. Thanks.

Blame Atiku defiancy for PDP failure.

Tinubu will continue to defeat the opposition so long as they have leaders like Atiku and Obi and they have daft followers.

If i were a PDP or LP supporter, I would be very annoyed that the 2 of them wasted my vote and lost an election that was theirs for the taking because they couldnt agree amongst themselves. instead they tell you it was rigging or judiciary and now Tinubu and daft as their supporters are, you parrot the narrative. Do you know the result of you not holding them to account? They will do the same thing in 2027 and will split the opposition vote again and lose again.
