CorrectionFLuid:Now? It's always also been called parallel market. Point is, you don't HEAR it anymore. A whole sprawling industry of BDC's and abokis everywhere changing money has disappeared! |

FreeIgboho:What we are using is black market rate, how can he allow dollar to naira to get to 1700 from 500, he is incompetent and wicked, evil, he has not achieved anything rather causing acute hunger and starvation |

nairalanda1:You're probably drunk on IMF/World Bank orthodoxy, but I can pretend to accept that. In the context of Nigeria's very complex and delicate geopolitics, any leader who would improve taxation and cut subsidies HAS to be one known to be frugal, prudent, EVIDENTLY NATIONALISTIC, serious minded (not owambe-wish), and acceptable across regional/tribal lines. The last president who I think achieved this effortlessly was Aremu Olusegun Obasanjo. Lets get something clear. Your tiffnumboo's biggest legitimacy crisis isn't even because he obviously corrupted himself into the presidency against the wish of MAJORITY of Nigerians. The main problem is that he stole his way into power only to foist a disgusting Yoruba agenda that is offensive to the other 5 geopolitical regions in Nigeria for the first time in history. This bastard cannot be tolerated. He cannot purport to implement any reforms. Him and his useless reforms are doomed from the start. Lets assume that your Bretton Woods poison can potentially work, it can only be administered by a president that Nigerians accept, and one that his lifestyle and choices reflect seriousness, prudence, nationalism and genuineness of intentions. End. |

patrickcollins:Not true. I actually accidentally read an old post that mentioned black market and it sounded so strange. That's when it dawned on me you never hear it anymore. A whole sprawling industry of BDC's and abokis everywhere changing money has disappeared! |

President Tinubu will be re-elected in 2027. He has a solid political following and organizational acumen to match. With the resources of incumbency he will be impossible to defeat. Whatever polarization means, the Nigerian people are united on this basic obsession - To keep the Igbo people down. Even if it means turning their country into the Poverty Capital of the World. Good Luck to Nigeria |

FreeIgboho:craze boy.. you choose to close your ears to black market doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist. Right now it seems the black market is what determines the official rate, because the useless CBN governor is always moving it to close the gap. Nothing wey your useless jagbajantiz don achieve than to destroy the economy. Don’t even try to say what you wanted to say, otherwise, thunder go fire you by weekend. |
