The Court of Appeal’s Abuja Division has overturned a Federal High Court judgment that ruled against the Rivers State Local Government election.

The appellate court determined the lower court lacked jurisdiction to hear the case presented by the All Progressives Congress (APC). The court also held that the Electoral Act is not applicable to local government elections.

In its ruling, the Court of Appeal stated that the Federal High Court did not have the jurisdiction to entertain the appeal filed by the APC against the conduct of the local government election in Rivers State.

The court further clarified that the Electoral Act, which governs the conduct of elections in Nigeria, does not apply to local government elections.

TPain destroyed what was left of the judiciary. Judges meddling into cases outside their jurisdiction. To repair what he has done, many judges will need to retire or resign.

I remembered one the Apc pay agent here created a thread asking what next for the election, he was educated here by us telling him Local government election is within the jurisdiction of state high court that will hear any pre-election issue, he was never satisfied with our answered still went ahead saying they will be throw out by the court .

How can you allow your brain type "if it bad gone the other way". Sometimes if ones brain wants to type rubbish your fingers can do the work of the brain since the brain isn't at full capacity anymore. How on earth can you even fathom the other way when there is no other way than this position? Unless you think our laws can be twisted by the courts at any given time just to satisfy your desire for godfatherism and party loyalty. Nigerians are really pathetic and appalling at the same time

You are sounding like a broken record. It is audible to the deaf and visible to the blind that the Wike urchin that instituted that case at the federal high court was only wasting his time. If not that the country is nearly sliding to a banana republic, those FCT high court judges that Wike's stooges usually run to at night to obtain frivolous court injunction would have been barred from sitting over cases.

wike has been defeated in the court of justice again. by next week, Governor Fubara will present his budget to the pro fubara house of Assembly members in the State house in PH. Fubara understand the game well.

The Constitution was written by mortals like us and is predisposed to manipulation. Manipulation of a system intrinsic weakness to your favor is what makes any lawyer a good one.
If you one has a case you need a lawyer to bail you out. Even in murder cases lawyers can still extricate you from the gummy web of the law.

The earlier Tinubu realise that Wike is causing hatred for him down south, the better for him.
As exposed as Tinubu is, he prefer Wike to elders of Niger Delta. Niger Delta presently don't have scores to settle with Tinubu other than the ones Wike is creating for him. Time shall tell when the al8gnments will begin

If cases are measured like the distance between two points no one will go to school to study law. There is always a chance to review a known established system. That is the purpose of researches.
From ab nitio I know this wouldn't go in favor of pro-wike camp. No one is influencing anybody. Just get a good lawyer who has facts. Res ipsa loquitur.
