A step in the right direction but that's not the number one problem in Nigeria, corruption and looting of public funds has become a pandemic, so Nigerians will take them serious if they pass a bill/make a law that if any public official embezzles public money, he'll spend all his life in prison or be sentenced to death. |

I think the law should be well defined by classifying these drugs and the punishment for each type of "drugs" . A young man can't be caught with weed and be sentenced to death ! Or a small quantity of white powder which could be passed into one's luggage or vehicle unknowingly by an evil actor either to conceal his own involvement or to intentionally set the victim up. Also ,capital punishment or life imprisonment should be passed for bandits and terrorists as well |

The title is not comprehensive. More info is included in the post itself. The new bill does not affect ALL drug traffickers. It only applies to those with weapons. Same as difference between stealing and armed robbery. I believe it is to dissuade barons and their minions from arming up against law enforcement. |
