I don't understand. Why are some regions reduced in percentage? Does it mean people that were literate in 2019 are no longer literate ? |

Putinofrussia:they are always bitter and sad when others outshine them….it’s a known fact that western region have always been the bedrock of education in Nigeria having the highest number of educated people in Nigeria even their ancestors benefited from the free education in the west, but this clown always try to play down other peoples achievements. Thank God we are here to bust their lies😆😆 |

The truth is, South South will always come top in major or positive investments such as education, sport and infrastructures In sport alone, four out of five indigenous coaches that graced the Super Eagles are from South South. Only Delta State boost of over seven FIFA standard Stadium while Lagos and Abuja can barely name three(3), respectively With time, South South might takeover South West in terms of Industrial Infrastructure, especially if Seaport is optimally functioning in the region |

The great Awolowo is from Ogun State. I happen to serve in that state and the NYSC Orientation Camp is a stone throw to his home town Ikenne Brother, taking Ogun into account, from Mowe down to Opic, about two LGAs can't boost of eight ( well equipped State owned Secondary School. Secondary Schools you see mostly are organized by the community, not even local government. That's how bad the state is in terms of education. The three states in that region I can is still trying to meet up education wise in terms of the old legacy are Ekiti, Oyo and Lagos |

Konquest:While we agree with you on the effort made by Awolowo to bringing education to the south west and mid-west, isn't it funny that people like Tinubu and co did not build on the legacy of Awolowo? while other regions are making giant strides in education the SW keeps going down all because of the 'Thuggish legacies of Tinubu'. Today agberoos and thugs are placed in position of power while the educated ones defends them online Go to twitter and see how 95% of yoruba youths are online defending MC Oluomo and Tinubu's style of leadership. |

LastGiantAlive:Is APC really your problem because it shows that the only thing we complain about is government and I don't still believe they are our problems? Must we complain about anybody that comes into power? Good luck we complain, buhari we complain now tinubu we are complaining. Please let have our own sweet mindset instead of putting all our lives in the government thanks because even the next person to come to power, we will still complain which is not right. Poverty is loading if we continue complaining everyday |

| Re: Literacy Rate In Nigeria By Region For 2023 by chimex38: 10:38am On Nov 23, 2024 |
bobofellaini:It Probably means much more people were born in those regions by 2019 who didnt go to school or were illiterate, reducing the overall % of those regions. Summary As more people are giving birth each year and most of them have low literacy rate than the literate ones. The overall % will continue to decline. |
