Daniel Reghas rating for wizkids Morayos album

"Morayo" by Wizkid is a quantity over quality album, literally two songs divided into subparts. It might be a commercial success due to hype, but unf@rtunately it's n@t the album of the year people hope it will be. A lot of songs sound repetitive, with lyrics showing that it was produced with just Tiktok in mind as there's n@ spark, the track "Bend" is proves this. Now asides "Pray, and Kese (Dance)" which are a little refreshing, most tracks sound like songs that didn't make it to his previous projects.

"Bad Girl" ft Asake was also a w@ste of collaboration as neither of the artistes did anything meaningful despite their talent. It's also surprising that no song was dedicated to his beloved mom. Frankly speaking, Wizkid needs new musical ideas.

The album is a 3.5/10 mainly due to the beats, & the experimentation of new sounds. It would've been best if this was an EP with 4-5 songs. No offense.

Daniel Regha now has 1.4 million followers on twitter and that means alot of people are encouraging him .
I don't agree with most of his thoughts though.

People will want to listen to it to know if truly Adedayo was that poor at singing....but guess what? Adedayo will still cash out and that the most important thing

His opinion on that album will even help Adedayo the more

MASSIVE Wizkid fan here (he is probably my favourite Nigerian music artiste after Timaya & 2face Idibia) and to be fair to him,his last truly great album was "Ayo" back in 2014.

Every other album of his since then has either been shockingly average or meh at best

Wizkid's "Morayo" really falls short of expectations. Daniel Regha made a valid point in his review, highlighting that it's more about quantity than quality. The album might do well commercially, but it lacks creativity and feels too focused on TikTok trends. Wizkid definitely needs some fresh ideas. Wizkid is living on past glory.

I still prefer his 1st album Starboy to many of his later works.

And it seems to me he has been on a steady decline since 2021, regardless of the Grammy.

But I thank God for his life that he was smart about the business of his career. He has made it and should just manage his wealth well.

Aswear! I was playing the whole album waiting patiently to hear something reasonable but was disappointed 😞. Baby this baby that. The only light in the album is seke abi na kese and time. For someone like Wizkid, I'm really disappointed as I expected more. Wiz be lazy lyrically lately..

He didn't even dedicate any song to his late mom, even though he made it look like it was all about her. Nigga be acting some kind lately too ...

It does not mean that wizkid's album isn't mid tho. Davido is the GOAT

Wizkid is a great artist. Always dishing out great album. However, I hope people will calm down in the appraisal of his latest project and just enjoy his music and I hope he and David's fans will calm down in fueling a beef btw these two guys
