It’s not accurate but it is not that misleading. There are companies located outside Lagos for which the majority of their customers/consumers are located in Lagos.


Furthermore no one can deny Lagos is the commercial nerve center of Nigeria. So even if they attribute VAT to where the consumption take place, The most Lagos will drop to from 275b a month is maybe 150-200b a month. It means the N75-125b Lagos loses in VAT will be shared amongst the other 35 states and FCT where the VAT truly arose from. The most the entire SE will gain on a paltry figure is about 10-15b….still a pittance.
