In this world we live in right now, what can anyone do without money?
Do you know how many intelligent minds are wasting because of insufficient funds to further their learning or projects they intend to undertake? You don't expect the average man wey never eat well to donate but we have so many extremely rich people who can give a million without even feeling it.

Money is given based on value the giver perceived or value the giver feel the receiver is worth, or based on how much profit returns his gift to the prize winner would generate for him. Nothing is free, the gifter also expect some profit return.



Comparing BBN prize money with what this guy was given is madness.


BBN bring billions of revenue to the sponsors and owner of the show, what will this guy graduating with a 4.98 CGPA bring to the gifter? Nothing except the photo shoot he can use as his CSR photo compilation.



Professors in UK earn below £70,000 a year income but footballers who didn't pass through the walls of any institution of learning earn as much as £50million a year which can even start or open a university


Money is paid to people based on value attached to what they do or did and how much profit returns their service or personality or presence generate for those that will pay or give the money.


Footballers generate millions if not billions of dollars for the sponsors and owners of football and soccer brands, university professors bring no much profit to their payer/employer, so if a university professor desires to be rich or if an intelligent student desires to be rich, let him or her go into research to invent a solution to global problem and patent it and sell it to make mega millions not waiting to receive huge prize money like footballers or those in the entertainment industry because he teaches people or because he graduated with a good grade, life doesn't work that way.

Did you see what you called the others: a contest. Where people most likely pay to participate and the organizers spend money to set up the show. The contestants that paid money will further generate more funds for the organizers during the show through voting and what not.

Now, ask yourself, How much did he generate for Uniben or Trig energy? He paid school fees; they gave him knowledge... he used the knowledge given to get good grades for himself...

What more should UNIBEN do? Pay him 5million for getting himself good grades?

Entertainment shows generate huge money for the show organizers so they can afford to give out huge prize money to the entertainers and winners at the show. How much money will this guy generate for the organization that gave him the gift? Nothing. Highest the organization and the owner would gain is public image hype whereby he uses the photoshoot to add to his CSR projects, nothing more.


Men gift ladies huge money because they expect emotional satisfaction from the lady. Nothing is free.


US government that go about gifting huge money to different poor and developing countries do it for a purpose. Sometimes to make it easy for them to penetrate the country to establish military base to expand their global reach and influence and to protect American people's businesses and investments around the world. Sometimes they do it as a form of control because the giver is greater than the receiver and the receiver is always at the mercy of the giver, so nothing is free in this life even when it is given for free.
