They don't have any natural resources they contribute zero to national purse yet they want to break up from Nigeria.
If not that we don't want Biafran kids eating red sand for dinner we would have granted them their biafra with farewell party and some grains as parting gift
Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia even Japan have no much natural resource

You are disappointed because you are not wise. If you understand the meaning of VAT you wouldn't type what you did. Is the main market or Osisioma traders that you want to collect VAT from?
Enugurangers:
I am highly disappointed in the SE region. Even NE that's plagued by Boko Haram did better

Can you also tell us the region that invests more and consume more across the regions?

One day, we will see that statistics too.

We will also see the statistics about the regions and what their indigenes are investing in other regions.

A lot of things are happening. Ask yourself this? Why are Igbos who top the chart in business have low vat from the states.

If Nigeria was explained and you understand, then you are insane. Leave Nigeria matter.

(FIRS)
“Who contributed the VAT” is a more superior metric than “where the VAT came from.” And I think FIRS would have data of the contributors including their states of origin.

This is something that a computer system can help to plot the graph and then we would be able to see the states that contributed the most to the VAT purse. This is not excusing bad leadership in the south east though.
Re: VAT Contributed And Received By Zone, August 2024 - FIRS by Ikemba007: 3:05am On Nov 24, 2024
But that's the truth. The companies had already been taxed directly.

VAT is a tax on consumption to better the infrastructure of the consumer. So, tax removed from consumers should be used where the consumers are located, not where the company officials are seated.

Enugurangers:
Making excuses for failures. How come NE did better than the SE. Are there MTN forces in Borno too?

When i told yall that ibos contribute nothing to Nigeria, people think I was exaggerating.

They contribute nothing to Nigeria and take the most. And you expect them to want to leave Nigeria, you either have to force them out or have something big happen to them, like when they go home this Christmas, if an earthquake can turn the entire southeast into a gully dust island and have them in the middle where they will be unreachable and not be able to leave. So the rest of Nigeria can get a breather. Other than that, they benefit the most in Nigeria and nothing will make them leave, we have tried everything so far.

All these stats are misleading by the time you dig deeper.

Eg. An mtn consumer in Abia pays VAT which is counted under Lagos.
You are really confused.... The Tax you are talking about is under the federal inland revenue... It is not part of what is being calculated....

Half baked "informationist".

ALL OF YOU MAKING NOISE. YOU DIDN'T ASK WHY LAGOS MADE THE HIGHEST VAT IS BECAUSE OF ITS GATEWAY TO ALL GOODS COMING INTO THE COUNTRY.

DIG DEEPER AND LAGOS WILL BE NOTHING WITHOUT THE REST OF THE COUNTRY.
What of Oyo state? 🤔

Ozuor!!!! Being half smart….who is generating a high percentage of the Lagos VAT you are grunting over?

If the one Nigeria don tire una make we dissolve am make everybody go their side nah grin
Mumu, is it you that also generated that of Oyo state (20bn), which is more than double what your entire region contributes (8bn). Chest-beating empty drum parasites!!

If anything, this exposes your lies about contributing anything meaningful to Lagos.

bitbillionaire:
Well, don't forget that indigenes of SE alone
residing in Lagos could contribute to at least 40% of the vat generated in lagos
Yet couldn't contribute up to half of what only Oyo state generated. I guess you'll tell me they contributed 90% of Oyo and those of other regions too but couldn't replicate that in their region. I've never such self-deluded people in huge numbers.

I think the SE is paying too much VAT.

The people of SE should not allow themselves to be unnecessarily taxed, they should resist. Let those who have FG presence pay the taxes.

Absolutely not fair.

Aside that, it would make lots of governors in less productive states lazy.
Honestly it's not fear , and this is a cheating to some states and Regions doing very well .
VAT should be shared according to what you contribute, enough of Monkey they work Baboo dy chop , the straw that breaks the Camel's back, we are not seeing the usefulness of the money to Indigine of the states.

Other regions have higher populations and larger landmass. In other regions one state can be as large as the entire South East.
