Hello Everyone
I’m new into the Tech community.
I picked interest in Cybersecurity reason being that with the advancement in technology,Cybersecurity can never go out line. Also, due to the increase in Cybercrime, more Cybersecurity experts are needed.
So, I have taken some free courses and also earn certification from Simplilearn and Edureka. The courses includes;
Introduction to Cybersecurity
Introduction to Cybercrime
Penetration Testing also called Ethical Hacking
Cryptography
Steganography
Basic Computer Skills
Basic Networking Skills
Basic Ethical tools like Nmap,Metasploit etc.

Now, I need help on programming because I need to have idea on basic programming languages like C/C++,Python,Javascript and SQL.

Is there anyone that can put me through?
And also on the cybersecurity, I need someone to mentor me on it.

God bless you in advance.
Just a tip for you.
Cybersecurity is a wide space
Pick a very small subset of cybersecurity and focus on that
For you without prior tech skills. GRC is a good place to start

DESKTOP/STAND-ALONE APPLICATION

An application that runs stand alone in a desktop or laptop computer. such as Opera Browser, Microsoft Office, Corel Draw, Win zip and so on. I am sure you get it. Desktop Applications can run on Windows, Linux, Mac and other Operating Systems. I assume you know what an operating system is grin
Desktop applications can be created with a variety of programming languages ranging from C, C++, Java, C#, Python, Visual Basic, Visual Basic.NET etc etc etc. They are a lot of them, like i said earlier we will talk of programming languages later on..
I'm on this and self learning.
My actual interest was EMBEDDED SYSTEMS

Hello!

Great initiative! Starting with the right programming language is a question that comes up a lot for beginners, and it’s good to address it all in one place.

For newcomers, here’s a breakdown of common languages to consider based on goals:

Python: Often recommended for beginners because it’s easy to read and versatile. Great for web development, data science, and AI.
JavaScript: Essential for web development and interactive websites. It runs in browsers, making it very accessible for those interested in web projects.
Java: Known for its "write once, run anywhere" capability, it’s widely used in enterprise environments and Android development.
C++: A bit more complex, but it’s powerful for system programming, game development, and applications needing high performance.
SQL: If data handling is your goal, SQL is critical. It’s not exactly a "programming language" for apps but is essential for data querying.
Swift/Kotlin: Swift for iOS and Kotlin for Android—perfect for mobile app enthusiasts.
For those considering programming as a career, the language often depends on industry demand and the type of projects you’re interested in.

Experienced programmers, feel free to chime in with more insights. Let’s help guide newcomers to start their journey in a way that suits their goals and interests best!

If you’re new to programming, start with Python it’s beginner-friendly and widely used. Once you’re comfortable, you can explore tools like CorelDRAW X7 64-bit free download for design-related tasks or expand into other programming languages based on your goals!
