This is a very good development. Some traders in their usual domineering spirit formed a parallel association against established one. |

freakyavia:That still dosen’t mean you are not minority. It is more about population than what you actually bring to the table. I acknowledge Ijaw nation contribute to Nigeria with their resource and no one is disputing that. |

Lol I know that there is nothing like Eze ndi Igbo in the market ,quote me anywhere. The ones they should have banned are supposed to be those unions that doesn't allow starters to survive. Although, constitutionally, I think they are wrong |

LegendHero:Because all eyes are on Lagos. If you observe, it's majorly when these things are done in Lagos that it attracts criticisms from commentators and politicians... Anyways, I support what was done in Bayelsa. I think it should be replicated all over Nigeria. There should be nothing like Yoruba traders association, Igbo traders association, Hausa or Fulani traders association. Most of the plans and agenda in such meetings are divisive. |

I don't know the motive behind the ban, but having association is not bad as a business man or woman. It is only the association that will assist a member in the time of distress.Igbo people believe in union more than anything.Isoko people are almost business minded like the Igbos.Having tribal association is not a crime as long as it is not promoting violence and other crimes which i know no business man or woman will want to indulge in.When a trader lost his goods in any natural or unnatural disaster,it is only his association that will come to him aid. Many tribes like ijaw, isoko, etc were mentioned in the report but people who sleep and wake thinking of how to bring the Igbos down started talking rubbish about the igbo without mentioning any other tribes. The more una dey hate Igbos the more them dey wax stronger. |

Ijaw and epie people can envy too much, most of them can't run a business, not to talk of sustaining it,they are only interested in receiving and not investing. Looking for politicians they will be chasing up and down and shouting chairmo. The major shops in swali are dominated by igbos, while the ijaws are the ones selling by the road side, where the fellow izon brothers collects daily tax from them. When the owner of tozy supermarket an igbo man opened newly he was kidnapped . |

When I saw the headline I knew no other tribe disrespect those that accommodate than my own people from the SE, I knew it What no othere tribe can dare in their region(SE) they love doing it in other people's region and when you stop them the next you will hear is so and so hate igbo. Watch as they will twist the narrative and say Ijaw hate igbo or Bayelsa hate Igbo keep reading their nonsense. I knew its my own people. They can not give but ready to take" |

richie240:This is the bitter truth:https://www.nairaland.com/8263305/there-no-more-federal-character Tinubu Yoruba government has tanked Nigerian economy and rendered all of us common Nigerians paupers. Tinubu has shown the capacity of Yorubas, and we all can feel how poor it is. You should be ashamed to be a Yoruba at this point in time. Your ethnic group reduced the biggest economy in Africa to 5th and made Naira a laughing stock in Zimbabwe dollars proportions. I don't understand how you still think you have right to talk at this point in time when you should be quiet and apologetic to the millions of Nigerians that must endure this utter display of Incompetence by Tinubu. Show remorse atleast. |

Fine, there’s freedom of association But your association should not impose prices on people , associations shouldn’t determine prices of goods and services. And lastly you can’t force people to join your association because you sell the same thing, when e no be cult. lordm: |
