I'm having an exhaust leak from my gasket and also my exhaust flex net has a little hole ,which emits black carbon. The whole issue started when I installed catalyst a year ago when the follow come had expired. So after some months,I did not notice that my exhaust gasket was leaking oil I always found little oil in the air intake hose fouled spark plugs and poor mpg .I then took the car for engine steam wash last 2weeks,mind you my car engine has underneath plastic guard to prevent dust and dirt from underneath of the engine into the engine bay. I then noticed that the engine walls have oil all over,the cabin of the car gets hot while driving and also it brings out blue and white smoke with steam at the muffler.

Does this mean that the leak has gotten into my catalyst .I peeped at the muffler catalyst and I could see its all looking black,meaning the exhaust oil leak is being burnt in the engine and forced out through the muffler. Does replacing the exhaust gasket solve the problem, Also is there any way my mechanic or panel beater can flush the catalyst after the fix, without dismantling the exhaust...any trick to this.......

Scanner has showed 02 sensors malfunction,circuit but when checked,everything seems normal.so I guess it's because of my leaking exhaust manifold...

As a matter of urgency, it will be better you go and remove the catalyst you installed before it knock your engine..not all catalyst are good oooo...

Really,is it the catalyst that is causing the exhaust gasket to leak oil,because it started after i installed the catalyst. I guess the panel beater either didn't use gasket gum or he didn't tighten the bolts ,I wasn't there when he did it but I saw pictures.
