Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, the Director-General of the World Trade Organization (WTO), has stirred reactions after sharing a warm birthday message for Nigeria's National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, on social media.

In her post on X (formerly Twitter), Okonjo-Iweala wished Ribadu a joyful birthday, expressing her hopes for many more years of happiness for him. Her heartfelt message sparked curiosity among Nigerians and social media users, leading to a wide range of reactions regarding their relationship.

No doubt, NOI is truly educated in every sense of that word. There is a huge difference between being a scholar and being truly educated, though it is expected that as a scholar, one should be educated. Unfortunately, history has shown that is not always the case.

For instance, protocol, diplomacy and maturity demands that Vladimir Putin of Russia sends a congratulatory message to Zelensky of Ukraine on his birthday and vice versa even though the two leaders are currently in the boxing ring.

However, this is in sharp contrast to the conduct of a crude and barely educated clown characterised by pedestrian upbringing who thinks birthday wishes to the president will ruin his chance of leading his country. Amusingly, this is the same character aspiring to be the president of my country.

I wish Nuhu Ribadu, a very happy day.

It's purely a matter of courtesy.

Nuhu Ribadu is nowhere near integrity. If he were truly a man of integrity, he wouldn't be working for Tinubu, whom he once described as a notorious criminal of international dimensions who must surely face the full wrath of the law.
