Samsung Needs To Stop Making Phones. My Experience With Galaxy A52 After 2 Years by Ppn247(op): 5:38pm On Nov 24, 2024
Samsung needs to stop making smartphones because their smartphones are just too good. After two years of using the Samsung Galaxy A52, the battery has not depreciated, software has been OTA upgraded from Android 12 to 14, fingerprint scanner, camera, etc still works perfectly, so I don't have any reason to upgrade my Phone to a newer model even though the body of the phone looks rough after almost three of years of usage. The Galaxy A55 is even "worse" as it comes with up to four years of major Android os upgrades form Samsung.

I can't say the same for my Redmi 9. After using it for a year and few months, the charging port started having issues, the battery depreciate, the finger scanner stopped working, the back camera went bad due to smudges, etc without a single major Android Os upgrade from Xaiomi.

It's Redmi that needs to stop making smartphones not Samsung.

Is it the same Samsung that uses software updates to intentionally degrade the performance of older flagship cameras, just to force customers to purchase newer models huh

Such an idiotic comment.

You noticed that Xiaomi has a lot of users and this is the best you could come up with. You had to mention Xiaomi in your post.

Xiaomi has a lot of satisfied customers and there is no nonsense you write that can change that.

In my workplace, 80% of the people there use Xiaomi. A lot of them have used and dumped Samsung in the past.

I am typing this with a Xiaomi device I've owned for 3 years+ with no issues. I have another one that's been with me for like 5 years with no issues.

I'm not sure what kind of workplace 'used and dumped' the only brand that can go toe-to-toe with iPhone but okay.

I have extensively used both phones over the years and still using them now.

Google pixel is better than Samsung, but the pixel is too fragile. A very slight drop can damage the pixel screen.
Samsung is more rugged.

@op, this is probably your first time using a Samsung. The A series you are praising is even a mid-range. Try any premium Samsung and throw away the A52. Even the old 2019 note 10plus or S10plus will take your breath away.

The insult is not necessary, we all have opinions. Drop yours with insults.

So does Itel, infinix, Tecno and Co.

Both phones have fragility issue and their different areas of strength. Samsung suffers from Screen problems same as Google Pixel. Google Pixel parts are difficult to source because their products are not very much popular in the Nigerian market unlike Samsung. But Pixel offers more value for money than the Samsung. And more Powerful hardwares than the Samsung.

I sometimes find it difficult to understand the aim of posts/people like this? Are you looking for traffic? Is that the ultimate goal?

Nah where face you you know.
I use a samsung note 20. I was casually using it one day when the screen suddenly went blank. As in blank. It didn't fall down, nothing hit it, no form of trauma whatsoever. Had to cough out money for a new screen and anyone familiar with samsung knows that doesn't come cheap.

But does it make sense for me to now devote how many hours of my life to bashing samsung? That's what happens when you don't have a life. Fortunately, I do.

Did you buy the phone brand new? Are you saying the phone never dropped since the day you started using it?

Samsung phones come with a two year warranty. If you're the first user of the phone, it never dropped neither did you ever sleeep nor seat on it, you should have taken it to their service centre.

How sure are you that for the MORE THAN TWO YEAR period you used the phone, it never fell nor experienced any form of physical trauma? (Assuming the screen went blank after two years which is outside the two year warranty period which was why you couldn't take it to samsung)
