The lawmaker representing Abia South, Senator Abaribe, said the arrest of separatist agitator Simon Ekpa in Finland is a welcome development.

The lawmaker stated that the arrest would deter purveyors of violence in the southeast region from continuing the mayhem being unleashed in the region.

According to him, Ekpa and his supporters are hiding behind the Biafra agitation to perpetrate crimes in the region.

In an interview with Channels TV, Abaribe said: “The arrest of Simon Ekpa is something that is very very welcome because this will tell all those people at home, who are purveyors of violence and instigated by Simon Ekpa that he actually said that he is just a content creator and not a serious person.

“We have always said that his activities in South East are totally wrong and not what Ndigbo stands for.

“The quest by the IPOB seeking non-violence referendum was turned by all these criminals. They are using IPOB to cause mayhem in the South-East.”

They never see anything yet. I have earlier said this, millions of Ekpa are still coming. Na so we shout for the people of North East back then, don't allow terrorists to take over your land, they said no but today they're seeing the result of their hand work.

Simon ekpa was a menace to the south east.
Whoever got him arrested did well, we all welcome it.
Someone that claims to be fighting for Igbos is busy killing and destroying the Igbos.
Many people from the south east never supported Simon ekpa reign of terror.
Nnamdi Kanu remains the icon of the current struggle for biafran independence.

The unintelligent and dull Senator asked for Kanu’s release on air

The same Kanu that has been frustrating his trial since his arrest

If his hands are clean, why is he refusing to be tried (especially since the case has garnered international attention)

I strongly believe the criminal has committed treasonable felony and has been responsible for acts of terror even in Lagos and many of the agitators from the SE clamoring for his release are strongly linked to him

If there is a trial, their names will be mentioned and that is what they’ve been trying to avoid but whether or not they like it, they will be brought to justice

No one is destabilising SE from the outside.

It's only nature doing the needful.

A place that is plagued by Autonomous Kingdom syndrome and has internal discrimination embedded in its core culture and with a history of selling each other down the river will always be a tumultuous place .

Even Ojukwu was seeing Sabos everywhere during the war and had many of his officers and war cabinet men executed. Ojukwu even remarked that Biafra failed because of internal saboteurs and asked his people to reflect why there were more ibo millionaires after the war than before.

If you think things are bad now, wait till you get your Biafra which will have several factional parallel governments outside the UN recognised and backed Enugu government.
