Youths in Ido-Osun, Egbedore Local Government, are currently protesting the relocation of the proposed Ido-Osun Airport to Ede, the hometown of Governor Ademola Adeleke. The protesters have blocked the major road connecting Ido-Osun and Ede, chanting slogans against the governor's administration. The demonstration has also resulted in the obstruction of two coaster buses belonging to Adeleke University, preventing them from passing through the town.

Breaking: Port Harcourt Refinery begins crude oil processing
The Nigeria National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has confirmed that the Port Harcourt Refinery in Rivers State has commenced crude oil processing.
The Chief Corporate Communications Officer of the compnay, Femi Soneye, broke the news on Tuesday.
Soneye revealed that the refinery will operate at 60 percent capacity and process 60,000bpd.

To begin with, Osun state has no business with having an airport . Whether it is to be situated in Ido-Osun, Osogbo or Ede; there's actually no justification for building an airport in Osun state when the state is not economically viable.

All the states that have built airport in recent times from Eboyin to Ekiti state, the airports have proven to become loss making ventures for the respective states.

State governors should focus on developing their states economically and leave the nonsense bragging rights of owning an airport that will tie down capital without producing any substantial income in return. The airports in Akure and Ibadan should be enough to serve Osun state .

Jonathan cited a fed university in his hometown of otuoke, obj cited a university of agriculture in abeokuta instead of doing same in the agrarian community in the state. Buhari did same with several federal institutions cited in daura. Now, tinubu is doing same by citing a federal university of agriculture in his hometown of Iragbiji. It's almost perfected as we speak. Only Peter Obi had nothing of such in his home town.
