That guy should not be allowed to monopolize the petrochemical processing business in Nigeria...

If not we are in big trouble...

News like this is very healthy for our economy.

We need more refineries to spring up and flood our market with petroleum products..

They way the price will remain down and stable for a while.
Nigerians and unnecessary paranoia! The way we throw that word "monopoly" around sef! Where did you get the notion that Dangote is going to be a Monopoly in the petroleum industry? BUA is building a refinery too plus a host of other small modular refineries that exist or are coming on stream!

And yes it is good for competition!

Write this down. I won't be surprised that Dangote secretly funded those refineries and he will still control their prices.just watch out. Dangote will be silent knowing fully well of what he will gain also from those refineries.

There is one ideology always guiding my assertions about Nigeria

..."expected result always fail here"....

The same way ur bank balance with a new deposit can never be equal to ur calculated balance,...this is exactly how Nigeria operates.

I can assure u that a working Port Harcourt, Kaduna, dangote, ..and even Ekiti refineries won't guarantee a reduction in the prices of fuel....

My ppl...don't expect anything good from this ( based on precedence)
Why do you expect working refineries to cause reduction in fuel price, do you open a businesses to run at a loss.

That's good news in my books.
from the highlighted, how is some thing that you are not sure of good news in your books?

This NNPC move is a breath of fresh air! Finally, we can breathe easy knowing that Dangote won't have a monopoly over our petrol supply. Competition is key to keeping prices fair and ensuring we don't end up paying through the nose. If we let one player control everything, we’re just setting ourselves up for another disaster. By the way, if you're looking for a share apartment in Lekki or need short-let options around Lekki and Lagos Island, hit me up! I can help you find a cozy spot or even accommodate someone in an extra room for a fee. Let's make living in Lagos easier together
I trust Dangote. He is a great man. Please don't pay an employee of NNPCL, Port Refinery an huge amount to bomb it. Please sir

It's a welcome development. This should assuage the pains of people and douse the fear of continued mounting inflation as a result lf expensive fuel.

This is really good
is this the same way you praised dangote refinery when it first started?

I will believe this news when it refines 30 barrel of oil, that is confirmed by a witness not by any mainstream media.
Re: Video Of Now Functional Port Harcourt Refinery by bentenny(m): 1:15pm On Nov 26, 2024
As long as there is opaqueness in NNPCL,this refinery will go back to it's usual mode until they have officially been privatized!
Secondly, the privatisation of our refineries must be transparently done to ensure the right company is chosen!

U may not be far from the truth!
That's why it's important to give the refineries to companies that are not affiliated to Dangote or any government appointee!
The bidding must be transparently done so that only the best company with a proper track record is chosen!
But I have my doubt due to the opaqueness of NNPCL!

If it works and does not benefit the people in any way, what's the point? You sycophants should be wise a bit. The difference between what works and what doesn't is a function of impact felt. If there's none, then nothing works.

The price of fuel is the koko. The is what is causing the major hardship to ordinary Nigerians. The Yam, palm oil or beans farmer in the North does not need Dollars. But transportation cost has gone up 1000%.

As for Naira, it will settle at between N1000 to N1,500 to a Dollar. So, get used to it. That is not the issue. The South Korean currency is also around 1,500 to a Dollar. Nigeria is not near as developed as South Korea.

WE NEED THE COST OF FUEL DOWN BY NEXT YEAR.
